Do you guys play a new champ a bunch of times in normal/unranked before you feel you can play close to your current elo? Obviously you keep improving, but when do you reach a decent level before you "figured out" the basics of the champ and do well? 5 games? 15? 50?
I need to cut down my novelty-seeking behavior, I think I play new champions long before I ever get good at any of the ones I have. Kayle/Jax top too tempting to try anyway :[

About dodging to 0, Cruzerthebruzer dodged his way down to a few hundred ELO and then carried himself back up to prove that you can carry your way out easily if you really are much better. (All his games from that series are on youtube, "Cruzerthebruzer elo chronicles")
Also, dodging seems like the only way to do it without being a jerk to everyone else (i.e. trolling). But then again you still are a bit of a jerk if you're intentionally playing much lower than your true ELO, IMO, no fun for all the others in that bracket. A 2k smurf at 1200 elo is basically wasting everyone else's time, and it's not really fun if you're outclassed that much by a random dude who clearly doesn't belong in your game (regardless of whether he's on your team or theirs, you just end up waiting for the game to end) :-/

Ill play a champ once in a normal then play in ranked.
Unless its a jungle, in which case Ill just jump right into ranked.

And do you actually get close to 50% win rate even with new champs? I guess I'm just terrible :-)

what is the problem with that? knowing all the champions is mandatory to be a consistent player. if you want to win alot and gain alot of elo then you should specialize though, but you still have to know what is facing you and who your allies are.

I mean, no champs are actually HARD to play.
It basically comes down to knowing what you think that champs kit is good for and building them to do it.
Even then, 75% of lol comes down to knowing where to be when. You can win games just by knowledge, even if you cant play a champ like a pro.

Is that why your TF so good?

I really wonder....How can people who are 1250+ elo be in the top 25% of all ranked players? Seems insane that people at THAT skill are the in the top group lol. and From what I hear 1500-1600 isn't much better and they are supposed to be in the top 10-3%! Crazy.

I played like four games of jungle alistar with friends just dicking around, realized he was a blast and really good at killing people who don't know what they're doing, and then just jumped into ranked with him. 80% winrate yo

Wow jungle maokai so beast. 7/0/6 in my first game. And he's so fun to play, I used to think he was boring.

If so, I will just ask people what skill to max first and go with gp5 items.
As TD said, you can will by knowledge and not go full retard. I once play a Brand in ranked after just one game normal and go godlike with him, lol. But some champs are more difficult to learn than others, esp if you plan to go top since there is no one to wipe your ass up there you really need to understand your champ in order to even stay in lane.

Also, what is this Gaming Series that a now on Own3d.tv with Navi vs ESC?

yeah i agree as long as you know the gist of your champ's kit (i.e. this is an aoe jungler. this is a utility AP. this is a ranged AD with CC and no escape) and know the enemy champs pretty well (i.e. if i gank this lane at less than 2/3rd health, he will just kill me instead of running. this champ has a blink and cc reduction. this champ is tanky naturally) you can boil the game down to a lot of basic knowledge. i should be here at this time. i should contest this buff. i should be farming now. i should be ganking now.
you'll obviously do better when you know the nuances of your champ in particular (i.e. knowing the exact range of shyvana's ult, the hitbox size of blitz's hook)

Just did like 3 things in the tribunal and every person I did was not even doing anything wrong -_-. If anything the people who reported them were the ones being obnoxious and report worthy. People are such dbags for small reasons blah makes me lose my faith in humanity.

Easy to play, harder to master. A noob tf player will use his wild cards to gurantee dmg on one champion. A veteran TF player will use his wild cards to hit multiple champions and bring out more effeciency from their champion.

Numbers #1 post anything in least time as possible without carrying, and whatever I feel at the time.

Should add a "More than 5 minutes for that one liner" poll choice.
And a "More than 5 minutes. I am a writer and only perfection is acceptable but then i delete everything i wrote" option hue

In LoL, after every game, at least two people in the losing team are reported. People seem to have this strange notion that being bad is actually reportworthy, i have no idea where they got this. They are also incapable of understanding that there is a difference between failing a lane and intentionally feeding. Plus EVERYONE flames all the time as soon as the team starts losing in the slightest. The combination of these factors leads to a lot of stupid reports. As seen in the "report xyz" which is there at the end of every single game. I literally can't remember when i last had a game where noone wrote "report blabla" at the end in all chat. Assuming that all those guys actually report their targets, in every game there are 2-3 people reported.

Isnt complaining that the Tribunal bans people unfairly one of the banned topics on this subforum?
And if it isnt, I move for its inclusion to that list.
