![]() I think CLG was in disadvantage because of the horrid ping but CRS played really well. That mundo just pwned.

I can't imagine trying to land a skill shot or anything with that. If you fire a morg/lux Q and they don't always walk in a straight line you'll never hit it unless they get unlucky and some skill shots are already pretty easy to dodge. I guess that's why they went with mostly point and click stuff though. And I'm not a hotshot fanboy but i don't think even his haters can say that he'd miss shen taunts that consistently. The only one i saw him connect with was on the FB and vlad was walking towards a cs. Edit: And crs was on point that game so it was pretty one sided.

Hope they learned what they need to change to make it work. Can't learn much when so much of the game is affected by latency. There were a lot of abilities that missed by slight margins that likely would've hit with a better ping which would've changed the game quite a bit. Hotshot likely would've killed vlad and not died in 1 or both of the early exchanges at top with a better ping (where vlad lived with the slightest margin of HP), which would've tilted top in his favor and then let SV pressure the bottom half more often. Even little things like missing/eating free damage can add up given time. Hopefully they just write the games off due to ping and keep practicing those strats/comps in a more realistic environment. I found the whole series to be a pretty bad watch given how one-sided things turned out and all the lag issues affecting the players and the streams (finally managed to get it stable at 480p on Rambo's lower quality stream).

Play from Australia 200+ minimum, it's noticeable but skill shots are landable and you get less reaction time to dodge stuff but it's no excuse for terrible play and losing under 20 minutes twice. If CLG are serious about competing on NA and EU events they should really optimise their connection, with the proper ISP and tunneling your connection to increase QoS/reduce hops you can easily get ping to under 200 even in Korea. The biggest thing is probably not the ping itself but adjusting to play with the ping, going from 20 ping in Korea then to 300 ping on NA would throw massively off. Just spend a couple of hours adjusting to the extra latency and you can minimise the impact.

Having ping that high does make a huge diffence, look at counter strike or starcraft 2. When playing at the highest level if the better players have 150+ ping over the other guys, that makes the advantage for the other team way higher. You make it sound like you are of pro status and have done this before? Maybe you should contact CLG and tell them how to adjust and play.

Also, playing on 200+ ping may only be 0.2s but if you're used to very low ping it becomes incredibly noticeable when playing with/against skillshots and when last hitting. It feels very disjointed at times and frustrating as a result. While it's still not sufficient excuse for CLG's performance, that's not to say it didn't hurt. Same goes for the Mono v M5 game where you could notice where M5's plays were slightly off at times. In particular, trying to shield skillshot or nukes in lane is a nightmare. Also... Galio Skin.
