Some light trashtalking isn't enough to warrant a punish imo, progamer status aside.

I think this could be hella fun to complete different quests on your way to becoming a champion. Jungle farm races. 1v1 first to kill baron. Random shit. Let's set up a bracket and take some bets. For the record, I'm all for this, but that would require TL LoL to actually ORGANIZE something. And show up.

Competitive LoL is moving away from the whole pick whatever you can play mentality into a more goal-oriented mentality like poke comps and such, but for the most part general, overarching game plans are more or less the same. In DotA, comps have specific purposes, like comps that aim at pushing extremely hard to secure a big lead early, comps that emphasize ganking, or turtling comps that are built around a hyper carry. Since team comps tend to have more clear-cut goals in mind, counter picking is very important in that you don't just want to counter pick lanes, but you counter pick entire strategies. The thing is, in LoL the outcome of the game is more tightly linked to the outcome of the laning phase than in DotA. Just think about how many times you've seen a team come back from losing all 3 lanes in DotA compared to LoL. In general, heroes in LoL tend to have much less diverse power peaks, and the timing windows where a team is weak purely due to itemization build-up tend to be much smaller. There are simply less opportunities for a team that lost the laning phase to re-take the tempo of the game in tournament play, and so counterpicking in LoL is naturally going to be more lane-focused than team-composition focused. I don't think altering the way the draft works would change this. Though TBH part of this is that, as I've mentioned before, nobody actually knows how to draft this game properly. There just aren't teams outside the top tier that actually practice it that thoroughly (largely in part due to poor incentives for 5s play at low- and mid-level), and even at the top level, teams are hemmed into drafting certain ways because certain players on these teams have a weak repertoire. On April 18 2012 05:22 -Zoda- wrote: Whereas in DotA, as far as I can tell, you can get an hypercarry in your team and you comp will be chosen around it (like tank Kog Dignitas did at IPL). But why would you run a team like this in LoL when you can get 3-4 bruisers M5 style and win ezpz with good team coordination ? Just because M5 pulled it off doesn't make it a strategically sound way to draft. Their fundamentals and coordination are just better than most other teams. That doesn't mean that any other team can draft that way and see similar success.

Blunderbuss - Bleed foes with a shrapnel cone shot that works better the closer you are. Overcharged Shot - Fire a blast so strong it knocks back both you and your foe. Jump Shot - Blast the ground, damaging nearby foes and leaping to your target. Look familiar? Tristana with grenades and rocket boots. I can't wait.

Tribes is an amazing game..do not compare it to such a thing. I sour at the mere thought of such confusion. And from what I saw on the video's for gw2 the Engineer using blunderbuss's are fun but a tad slow to fire. Need Trist Q

Started with MS quints for once, instead of armor/MR (I'm looking at you Rumble and Vayne), so that with boots start I'd be able to catch him if I wanted to Q early on. My manapool was too light compared to the HP loss he suffered from Qing, so I didn't harass much before level 3. He actually hurt me, and probably could have killed me with more aggressiveness or liberal use of W and ignite—I think he was waiting for level 6. The jungler came once, so I went really aggressive, at level 5, and we killed him, tho a late flash made me towerdive and die subsequently (worth it, Shyvana cleans his incoming wave, he loses two to tower). After that I just bought 2 NMM (about 100 MR at that point), loads of pots, some wards, having to back a bit. I killed him again twice when he made the mistake to use W for no visible reason (perhaps push or try to intimidate me as he ran into the minions then W'd them and me), eating my ult, ignite, dropping below 50%, a Q after my ult then being chased and killed easily thanks to E and WW's passive. I completed Wit's end, then SV, and there wasn't much he could do to me: he'd stacked'E-Q combo me, I'd Q him, heal everything, and he'd need another EQ to heal my damage. The only times where he killed me were when, before glacial (I bought a sapphire before SV) I let him run oom, as Q is costly for me, and his combo basically free, with similar cooldowns. Sometimes I had the mana so I just killed him after one or two Q to weaken him, but twice I was too low and he went balls deep on me, REWQ ignite, flash once, and I didn't have the mana to QRQ him. From the looks of it, and the danger of me being oom (and the ease he had to send me in that situation), I think with equal skill Vlad would probably beat WW, except for that combo at 6 if Vlad makes a mistake and WW manages to reach it with enough mana. What do the gurus say? (It didn't help that their team was Vlad, Ahri, Kog-Alistar, and Udyr, stacking MR working like a charm against almost all of their damage.)

I already have my Ahri game edited/saved, I just need to upload. Any suggestions after seeing this first episode on what to include or not include?

http://na.leagueoflegends.com/news/hecarim-patch-notes Notable changes imo: Annie - Pyromania now works like other charged passives (activating a spell with the stun no longer builds a charge, but number of charges required to energize reduced to 4 from 5) Janna -- Knock back distance reduced to 875 from 1000 Sejuani Arctic Assault mana cost reduced to 70/75/80/85/90 from 70/80/90/100/110 Glacial Prison cooldown reduced to 130/115/100 seconds from 150/130/110 Atma's Impaler Health to Damage conversion lowered to 1.5% from 2% Hexdrinker passive shield duration increased to 5 from 3. Wit's End combine cost increased to 700 from 550 (total cost increased to 2150 from 2000) Last Whisper will now show up as a Pickaxe upgrade in the item shop

From my experience, I do very well against Vladmir as Warwick. You can build MR items like Wits End, Spirit Visage, or Mercs to just melt him, and its good vs double AP which it usually is if hes top. A good item to build against him is Chalice because it gives you enough mana spam to constantly trade with him, especially after he gets revolver/WOTA giving him that free sustain. I've never lost a straight up fight against Vladmir of equal skill with Chalice, Wits, and Visage unless a jungler ganks me.
