But that sounds too negative. Gotta be nice sometimes.

How is gold differential related to level of play? Have you been watching, CLG has been pushing as 5 for the last 15 minutes, so no time to CS. Gold has come entirely from turrets.
CS and gold isn't that important to a poke comp.

Meh dragon is highly overrated, especially when you consider the risk/reward. It just doesnt give you that much. Free dragons are great, but fighting over it is typically terrible, especially when you consider that a single creep wave essentially has the same gold value as dragon, and IRRC a greater EXP value.
You cant win by getting dragons, but you sure as hell can lose the game by doing it.

4not actually won ROFL
edit: that baron might win them tho :D nice bait by hsgg tele

Almost always the team going 9-1 in turrets with 3 inhibs down is not going to be the team with a gold deficit. If they still have some lack of gold, there is a major flaw in play going on. Gold can still wins games and if 4Not hadn't lost all 3 inhibs and had a better late game composition, they could still have turned it around.

A creep wave is worth about 130 gold. Dragon is 190 gold per person + 25 for the killer. That's 7.5 creep waves.
XP is about 270 for a creep wave and is 400 for Dragon.
I agree that Dragon is overrated, but throwing around random guesses at gold value that are pretty clearly wrong doesn't advance your case.

I'd want to punch a hole in the wall after dealing with a comp this obnoxious for this long.

CLG wins despite losing in kills and gold.

The commentators sound so freaking bored and annoyed lol. I actually love watching CLG poke comps though because things are always tense and can go wrong with one mistake.

If they contested baron they would have won ;/

But that isn't how this strategy works at all. They don't need more gold, they just need to not lose lane so hard that the enemy team gets fed. They just played really safe lanes and got CS. They played crazy passive even with Maokai jungler until right around the 22 minute mark where they grouped up and started pushing down lanes. That's how their strategy works for poke comp.

AP kog protected by a wall of disengages and extra pokes *shudders*
Painfull to watch.

CLG shows their poke comp, like hasn't been seen in months (atleast not executed this well). Casters only complaining about how boring they think it is. -_-

I still think trundle is the far better option for this comp than maokai.Maokai sapplings are good with this poke comp yea but they don't really do anything later on and don't have the range like kog ult or nida spear damage,so apart from breaking banshes veils they are kinda useless later on.Trundles pillar is just a god disengage skill and lessens the load on Janna.

Played right, there's very little you can do against a properly played poke comp. However, there's so many things that can go wrong playing the poke comp. One bad teamfight and the game is generally over. They need to keep disengaging correctly, while the other team being poked on needs to commit like there's no tomorrow. Everything on a razor's edge.
