Eh. Im not sure this is exactly accurate. IMO exe is a MUCH better item than wriggles in lanes where you have an advantage. A Gp with a lead can make exe look broken.
calling you get zero free stats for gold. just the active.
wriggles you get 272 gold worth of extra stats above cost plus the ward active which is basically the same gold value as a gp5 item.
dblade you get 262 gold worth of extra stats per blade, two dblades is worth 200 gold more than a calling which costs over 300 more.
im not surprised a gp who is ahead makes exe calling look good, he's ahead!

executions is bad because 2 points in a tier 3 defenisve mastery basically reduces the passive damage by 50% flat after other reduction is applied.

Only time I'd ever consider getting a calling is if my team somehow didn't have ignites against a really heal-heavy comp, but even then it's iffy.

I tried to farm with QW at turret but it didn't really work so well .
Is that just a counterMU or is there some trick? Abbyssal, not fon. And everyone knows the way to win vs LB is to just buy 13 health potions. That is... a really good idea! I need to open with that next time vs LB. And to answer hitting Q and killing her: I don't think you can trade like that, when you hit Q you get QW'd and can't punish that, after 6 its WQR Yeah FoN probably terrible, though by the time I had 4 doran rings and negatron I was 0-2 and was 3 levels behind(couldn't leave tower) first of all against LB you want to push the crap out of her pre6, she will lose huge amounts of CS to tower. Be very aggressive but avoid getting close enough for her to jump onto you, as this will basically halve her damage. Her dash in on a monumental CD early, so if she uses it you have a big window to heavily outtrade her. As Cass you have to have lightning reflexes after level 6 and catch her with ult when she comes at you. Even after 6 her damage is predictable in that both ult and jump have long CD's, just spam at her in between these and dont get snared. Get your jungle to ward the bush in between their mid and blue, and gank her when she goes to get it. Is it good on Renekton too? I can never tell. I have no idea what your pronoun is referring to with this quote. Hexdrinker I've never found it to be very good on Renekton, honestly. I've tried it a couple times are never felt like it was a worthwhile purchase.

Would anyone here be able to tell me whether the following are viable or just terribad? - Blitz - Cho - Mundo - Gragas - J4 - Leona - Malphite - Nunu - Sion - Yorick Long list I know, sorry Blitz is kind of iffy, really reliant on a good early game because he clears slowly. His ganks are somewhat hit or miss. It can work.
Cho isn't bad. His clearspeed is actually pretty good, but his ganks are hugely reliant on landing Q so in general they aren't very threatening. You also have trouble getting stacks up and still ganking since you want ult for the gank but the CD is often longer than your clear->gank path. Dying really mucks this up even worse.
Mundo can be pretty strong. I'm seeing him mostly played like Shyvana where you farm and counterjungle heavily but don't gank that much.
Gragas is terrible. Leona is terrible. Nunu I think its marginally less bad, but still pretty craptastic. He's sort of like Alistar only with less durability and less CC but with an ally steroid and slows. He just really doesn't accomplish anything from the jungle that he wouldn't do as a support or would be done better by a different jungler. His era was really when he could counter jungle with impunity and level 2 gank anything, but these days there are so many junglers who will just kill him for trying or ignore him and get 3x the CS and then dominate the later phases of the game.
Jarvan really struggles from behind and it's hard to get ahead from the jungle. His mana costs are still a bit too high (need to play him more w/ sigil change) and his clear speed rather sucks, but his ganks can be really strong with eq knockup, w slow, and ult. He has really strong level 2 ganks. Main problem is getting tanky enough + high enough damage to stay relevant. He's an okay jungler overall.
I hate Malphite as a jungler because I feel like his clear speed is ass, his ganks are pretty weak, and he has a really hard time getting tanky enough from the jungle since he's not well farmed and doesn't have strong ganks to get money. Pretty much the only way he kills anything is landing an ult on someone who is overextended, but his ult CD is really long. I might just be biased.
Haven't really done Sion or Yorick. I think Sion is just a one-trick pony as AD where he hopes to sit there healing for retarded amounts with his ult without the enemy team igniting/ccing and killing him really fast.

Oh wow. I love you guys.
brb PMing Neo. <3

Tried out the new champ a bunch top lane. She doesn't seem weak at all, in fact she is sort of a bully vs some champs. The only drawback is her vulnerability to ganks.

Good Idea r.Evo. Dota2 guys are just dicks.

fyp. =P
I just got 5 PMs from people who seem interested in something like this and PM'd Neo if we can host such a thread in our subforum.
Whoever would QQ or rage about either game in that hypothetic thread would be executed with Lux laughter and Taric jokes.

Death by a thousand laughs.

Malphite has one of the fastest clear times of any jungler. Now that his ult is fixed (apparently) I wouldn't be surprised to see him more often. Yes his pre 6 ganks are very weak without red (and just weak with it), but his ult is really really good when team fighting

I build Wriggle->Bruta->CDR-Boots->Wits 21/9/0 R>E>W>Q I was up 30% or so on his cs and got the double, but I couldn't do fuck all to him. What gives?! Shen just imba still?
Yeah, Shen is still really really really strong.
Perma ban at my humble 1400 ELO, on all high ELO streams I watch. He wins almost every lane because he just out trades everyone in my experience.
The only champs I have ever seen beat Shen top are Yorick (something wrong if a Yorick loses lane.), Kennen, and Chogath. Both Yorick/Cho are unkillable by Shen, and Kennen is in that range once he finishes WotA, luckily for him getting there is not too difficult because he has range advantage on Shen.
I also seen a Kayle poop on a Shen, but I was playing with my buddies who is level 5... The Shen on our team happened to be a level 9, and the Kayle was a level 30, so I didn't really put much into it.

So to any shen players, does the energy cost increase hurt him much?
Also how does Skarner's mana cost increase on q affect him in the jungle? Do you feel comfortable with your mana after getting the philo?
|
Question about playing AD carries: how can you tell when it's safe to attack someone other than their tanks/bruisers? the last game i played, i was relatively fed coming out of lane, but found myself full health and not doing much during teamfights... maybe in part because teamfights were more like us getting caught in bad positions. then i started just attacking the kennen and ashe instead of renek/lee (i was originally targeting lee sin because he was fed and relatively squishy) and things went much better (i carried, got a quadra, ended 20/2/13!). but it felt like i got away with just jumping on their carries only because the enemy team was bad, so i'm wary of drawing any conclusions from this one game.

If you go QWQWQ he won't really run out of mana for long enough. If you absolutely need it you can get a sheen or glacial to augment it though.
On another topic, from watching streams, I think Fiora is pretty binary in terms of who she beats in lane. Anybody who can disengage in some way from her the moment she uses burst of speed(stun, slow, snare, dashes etc) beats her with relative ease while anybody who can't just gets destroyed by the massive dps from her steroid.

It's all in the positioning and focus, if you're getting focused by anything you need to back off and kite a bit, otherwise hit whatever while staying away from threats (especially exhausts and stuns). If you can get away with hitting a carry without eating a stun or too much damage then go for it.

Your bruisers / tanks need to either protect you or jump on their carrys (or both). The most important thing you gotta do in teamfights is position yourself well. The more farmed you get, the more damage you do, the more important it is that you stay alive (since the enemys also do more and more damage).
Champs like Trist and Cait can just range everyone down and Jump/Net/Buster/Trap out if someone comes at you. Ashe can kite with volley/frostarrows and MF just outmoves everyone. It all depends on the situation you are in. Dont forget that you dont HAVE to kill someone when u start hitting them. At lets say a lvl9 teamfight, focus on whoever is overextending and make sure you pay attention to whatever gets snared/hooked/trapped/stunned in range. Focus that target if that is the closest. Biggest part of those teamfights is snowballing of those kills. Lategame some champions can still quadra you even if they are the only ones standing. Earlygame not so much.
Lategame teamfights, dont be afraid to shoot anyone in range. You do alot of damage with IE BT PD LW combo. Thats to pretty much every champion. Once you get that LW you will find yourself killing Rivens, Alistars and Nautili about as fast as you would focus a carry/support.
Just be aware of where you are standing and what your teammates do. My favorite champion is Ashe , so I can start the engagement when Im in the optimal position.

You feel how dumb the Q mana nerf was really hard around level 5 and definitely by level 7. There's definitely a lot of times where you have to decide to either kill a camp (usually red) quickly and blow most or all of your mana on Q's (and therefore have to back) or if you want to chug hp pots instead to have enough mana for a gank. If you rush a Shurelya's then it's not so bad, but Shurelya rush is only good if you can catch something with it. You're pretty soft in teamfights when that's all you have.

I've won VS Shen quite regularly this week with WW and Riven. WW out-heals Q with an MR rune page and Riven just shields it.

People with no reason to autoattack also wreck you as Fiora. I don't think it is so much that they can disengage as that they can play around you parrying. I found maxing E first as Fiora to just not be as effective as maxing W first. Learned this from watching xpecial play and tested it myself, maxing W first makes you such a bully in lane. Someone like Riven can play around that though.
In short: Riven has another good match up in top lane. Go figure.

just got a crazy as fuck game as fiora, solo vs nasus, almost got owned at lvl3, then by like 6 i was railing on him it was absurd
wild times
ended up 12-2, 7-2 while the game was still relevant

Ap tops tend to just shut fiora down hard. Nothing you can really do against them since your "poke" tends to be running straight at them.
