Is that just a counterMU or is there some trick? Abbyssal, not fon. And everyone knows the way to win vs LB is to just buy 13 health potions. That is... a really good idea! And to answer hitting Q and killing her: I don't think you can trade like that, when you hit Q you get QW'd and can't punish that, after 6 its WQR Yeah FoN probably terrible, though by the time I had 4 doran rings and negatron I was 0-2 and was 3 levels behind(couldn't leave tower) first of all against LB you want to push the crap out of her pre6, she will lose huge amounts of CS to tower. Be very aggressive but avoid getting close enough for her to jump onto you, as this will basically halve her damage. Her dash in on a monumental CD early, so if she uses it you have a big window to heavily outtrade her. As Cass you have to have lightning reflexes after level 6 and catch her with ult when she comes at you. Even after 6 her damage is predictable in that both ult and jump have long CD's, just spam at her in between these and dont get snared. Get your jungle to ward the bush in between their mid and blue, and gank her when she goes to get it.
Is it good on Renekton too? I can never tell.

March 20th is the first day of spring. Hopefully they take out the winter map and put back in the holloween one.

Executioner's calling is actually a really good item in specific situations and one of the most under rated items out there.

I said it's a good item a while back and got told I was wrong. But it's a cheap 18% lifesteal imo with some good crit too and an ignite if I've taken exhaust. I get it on twitch who I never really play seriously.
|
I like exe-calling on tryndamere if I'm against some sustainy asshole cuz I'm tryn and hence I'm a bigger asshole that they are.
|
Exe is really underrated. Its a great early game item on champs who rely on longer 1v1's because you gain the ability to crit (since MOST of you still hate my 1 crit rune idea) and has lifesteal. Plus you just have to bait engagements, wait for them to pop a pot, then use the active to ensure you come out ahead in every trade.
I honestly think that tabi>exe is a very good alternative to wriggles on champs like gp, irelia, shyvana, or ww. Anyone who wants to stand still and trade blows.
|
wriggles and dorans are so much better. it's not even cute, it's just bad to buy calling by comparison.
|
you dont buy executioner for the same reason people dont rush zeal
crit is pretty damn useless past the "first laning stage." once people go back and get a couple items/are above level 6 crits arent really going to put you that ahead anymore when you have no damage to back it up

IMO exe is a MUCH better item than wriggles in lanes where you have an advantage. A Gp with a lead can make exe look broken.

Hey guys, I mainly play AP/Support but was thinking of trying these non-standard/popular junglers for (low level) ranked. Would anyone here be able to tell me whether the following are viable or just terribad?
- Blitz - Cho - Mundo - Gragas - J4 - Leona - Malphite - Nunu - Sion - Yorick
Long list I know, sorry
|
of your list, only cho, malphite, j4, and mundo are really viable, and even then, only circumstantially

Not recommended.
Cho: High speed once you get some levels in e, needs a lot of skill to hit q. Saint and Snoopeh like it. Viable.
Mundo: Clears really fast, decent ganks. Viable.
Grag: Meh. You could I guess.
J4: superviable.
Leona: slow but stupidly strong ganks. Not really viable though cuz she so slow.
Malph: superviable.
Nunu: Too slow, his style of counterjungle got destroyed by the changes. Dont like it at all.
Sion: Been meaning to try, seems a bit too slow though.
Yorick: Just run him top and win every lane.

The stats on Executioner's Calling are interesting and seem to fit GP the most. Since you seem to have experience with it, how does it deal with champs with innate life steal like turtle Udyr, Irelia, WW? Does the Exe make a dent at all against those? I can definitely see it as an alternative to wriggles, though.
|
It works best when they actually have to use health potions to survive in lane, so it really depends whether they even need to use potions in the first place. It does hurt their innate sustain as well, but it really shines when you're killing their potion efficiency on top of it.
I think the DoT on exe can stop recall, which is nice :D

Thoughts on Fiora: Her voice acting is very annoying and yet hilarious in it's absurdly cheesy/awful french accent. She is mad strong at level 1, hit the enemy very hard before they know what's coming. Overall feels pretty strong in lane, although I only played a few match-ups.
Was building Wriggle's -> Trinity (P -> S -> Z) -> Wit's, seems like a very solid core that gives her excellent damage and good survivability. I want to experiment with a BF item instead of Wit's.
Her mana costs are very low, makes it very easy to harass all day long. Once you get ahead you can zone very well.

Disclaimer: Yes, this post is about me asking if guys want to play dota 2. Yes, this is the LoL subforum. The reason I'm asking here is because I love the overall attitude/behaviour in this subforum and am curious if some guys had the same problems as me when they tried to put their nose over the fence.
I'll try and ask this here since the threads where I'd usually ask this have a tendency to get closed due to people chewing at each others throat.
From the games I played with TL this neat little LoL community is one of the coolest places so far. I enjoy playing and learning games with TLers because it usually means a family-like environment where people treat each other with at least some basic respect and help each other out.
Are there any guys here who'd like to start a "DotA 2 learning group" with some other people from this subforum?
The reason I'm asking is that every time I gave dota 2 a try so far I end up being horribly pissed at what calls themselves "teamliquid" in the ingame channels. It's no fucking fun if some self proclaimed pro (who is on TS/Vent with you) says nothing for ten minutes and then bitches about what a fucking newb you are, even if you announced so beforehand. It's no fun if two guys are at each others throat trying to bust each others balls about who was feeding who when you tried to get a game for NEW guys going.
I might try to post about this on the TL dota 2 subforum as well if this attempt to get some guys together fails, but for now I'm hoping that we've got enough guys from here interested in something like this who'd behave as if Neo themselves would be watching over their shoulder, even in a different game.
If a few guys will answer via post or PM positively to this idea, I'll ask Neo if it's cool to open a thread for this to organize a little and stuff.
tl;dr: The amount of quality when it comes to trying to improve is about 50x higher in this subforum and LP.eu than what I've witnessed in the dota subforum/dota 2 teamliquid channel so far. So... if any of the guys here feel similar and would love to give it a shot in a cooler environment, give me a shout please. =)

To me she just seems to be the kind of champion that either do really really good when they have a favorable matchup but just get shit on & come out to be useless when they are in a slightly disadvantageous matchup.

I was top as Fiona vs Shen and was doing alright, pretty much playing passive and farming until 6, but I got interrupted by their Fiona jungle gank. Turned in my favor, got a double under the turret, but shen still ended up shitting on me in trades and engagements around level 9-10. I build Wriggle->Bruta->CDR-Boots->Wits 21/9/0 R>E>W>Q I was up 30% or so on his cs and got the double, but I couldn't do fuck all to him. What gives?! Shen just imba still?
