The way you play GP against pantheon (at least with item choices/maxing W) should be just as effective against riven. Riven will still be able to farm np, but at least she won't be bullying you as badly. This discussion probably belongs in the GP thread though :3 | ||

Things that I'm thinking would be on there are: -any major tournies (obv) -any planned scrims (ex. CLG eu and na weekly scrims) -go4lol -AHGL -anything else? I think the biggest one would be planned scrims. I think a lot of the teams plan scrims with each other a day or so in advance, if you were watching a stream and here of something it would be nice to consolidate it into one place. Then someone can just come along and say "hey, so this is what's going on today; right now; next hour; ect." | ||

Ah yeah dat too. Also another one would be podcasts and such. Like there is a decent amount of content out in the LoL scene, I just don't think anyone has organized it at all. Reddit by nature just doesn't work, and all the sites are too fractured/ don't have a really strong content creating community behind them (my feeling). | ||

I guess if you really want to get good at AP, it may not be the best for learning matchups and whatnot, but pretty quick and dirty way to at least get from shit-tier to mediocre. | ||

The only hero in DotA with an stealth ultimate is Riki. -.-; I also don't agree that stealth skills in DotA are weaker. If anything they're stronger. BH stealth gives a pretty large bonus damage when you leave stealth and Clinkz stealth basically gives you (almost) max movespeed. Both of those have 100% uptime at lvl 1. Weaver stealth does give max movespeed and also deals minor damage. At lvl 4 there's only a 2 second downtime. Broodmother has webs that give her stealth while she's in them and they also give +hp regen and movespeed. There's a lot more, but those are the biggest offenders I can think of off the top of my head. You really can't compare stealth in LoL and DotA :\ | ||

I think part of the reason stealth isn't a big problem in DotA (other than in low level pubs) is simply because stuff is so damn strong. Stealth heroes are inherently squishy and since they tend to not have hard cc, unstealthing at the wrong time can often mean being insta-gibbed before they can accomplish much. The problem with stealth in LoL is that there simply isn't a truly feasible way to counter it. Pink wards and oracles helps, but they are a HUGE drain on gold and are circumventable. Like in DotA when Gondar unstealths with like...700 hp to gank, your Lion can just one shot him -.-; Whereas pre-nerf Eve would show up, stun you, and you honestly couldn't do much since it was incredibly unlikely that you'd be able to do anything other than run or die. The current metagame also probably exacerbate the problem. Having only 1 real support, maybe 2, being ward/map control bitch means that it's that much harder to deal with a roaming invisible dude. | ||

I'm far too defensive and basically fell into the mentality of afk-farming lane and not ganking at all (playing top lane all day erry day). I've been playing annie again for the past two days, I feel she's a really good champion to get into APs again. And with the influx of all these new APs, people really underestimate her - won all my games where I played annie, dunno why I don't main her :O | ||

You will never be able to kill Riven one on one, and maxing W just gives her a bigger advantage when your jungle comes to gank. The best option is to never let Riven kill you, and stay equal or higher than her farm. Max Q and use it to farm, grab an early philo stone to cope with mana problems. Stay out of her range of influence, and if she catches you in a stun, eat an orange (level 1 orange) and run away. Do not trade with her. Eventually the gold will be in your favor (from Q), and you'll come out on top. Also, try not to push your lane, once she starts freezing and zoning you, you're screwed. That's how I beat Riven with GP. | ||
