The main problem with sej and naut, is that they're tanks with so-so damage, but no one wants to build pure tank, so everyone builds AP bruiser, and then they wonder why they suck balls with champs like naut and sej. I love playing ap amumu as much as the next guy, but lets face it, pure tank amumu is simply just more effective in a teamcomp, than ap amumu. Same applies to naut and sej. Hmm tanks with ap ratios, both like amumu. But amumu has amazing cd scaling with his abilities compared to other champions. W scales against the enemy hp. Focusing mummy gets his E off cd faster. When your abilities deal more damage based on the enemy doing things you have damn good abilities. I think in comparing them you can more easily see the reasons why naut and sejuani are bad compared to amumu instead of seeing why they could be played similarly. Also I love amumu. Yordles are short and cute, and he's the saddest little mummy ever.

Going to agree with Sion being boring as hell. I also find Brand to be one of the most dull champions I've played, he just doesn't do it for me.

"Once you enter X range of an enemy champion, you gain a Y% speed boost and exit stealth. You will re-enter stealth after Z seconds out of range of an enemy champion." This makes it so that you can't camp lanes that people are sitting in, people still get something of a chance to react to a gank without dropping a pink in the middle of the lane, and the champion still keeps the flavour of being stealthy and sneaky because they avoid wards and can run around the map mostly unseen. Then, you just have to tweak the range where they come out of stealth and the speed boost, so that it's not a free kill, but they still become visible slightly after coming into the lane, so they're slightly differentiated and more dangerous than just a normal gank. This is just an idea, but I think it could be interesting, to be able to introduce longer/permanent stealth champs. As for fun champs, I think Lux, Ahri, Blitz, Shyv, Teemo, Swain, Udyr, Janna, and Skarner are all pretty fun to play. Basically anything where you have a lot of skillshots, or can dive into people and have fun. Teemo I just find hilarious for some reason. :p

Like if you get close to someone, it ticks down 5 seconds for every 1 actual second.

Sej's scales with her health, which is usually better. because Sej generally has more health than most champions, especially if you build her health heavy. So she ends up doing equivalent W dmg to amumu's tear. I did the math in the sejuani thread.

Also amumu's ult has a bit more usability since it's 360 degress around amumu so you can grab people in front and behind you, compared to the aoe on the target you hit (amumu's ult being almost identical to a stun since it does all the important things, rooting and stopping them from using a teleport). Sej w requires you to build hp, which isn't always the optimal Ehp item, while amumu gets his damage for free when the opponent buys items. Also amumu's free flat 10 ad reduced damage is pretty nice. Also her q is 400 range shorter. I can see the similarities in damage from her ratios, but amumu is just getting free damage or damage reduction while sej gets slows. I'm just a big fan of amumu though. And comparing a skill that gains damage based on how much gold your opponents have spent is quite different from one that gains damage when you spend gold (similar to veigar except without the crazy yordle attatched).

As for Stealth, the problem they face is this: Being visible to enemies while "invisible" is 100% worthless. It's the Invisible Boy from Mystery men, taking away both the escape and initiate ability of being invisible. That's not a solution, that's a direct nerf. Would also have some weird effects on Vayne, Shaco, Wukong, and Akali. You can counter Jungle Twitch in 1 easy step: Invade his red. Alternately, normal ward placement. Because if Twitch/Eve is level 3 and has 2 levels in Stealth, to position best for the gank, they are going to walk PAST the ward and Stealth. They then have another 10 second cooldown before going invisible again, and either no kill move, or no slow. Another hint is to place a pink ward that is not seen by the other team. If a stealth charecters knows where it is, they'll avoid it or only fight when you'd die anyway. If they don't, free initiation on them. They can't fight back until they react.

I find Gragas very boring too, not sure why. Probably because you just stand around and Q every now and then. Most fun: Rumble, because you play very aggressively, but it puts you at risk too, so you need to know when to retreat (unlike, say, Yorick, who just spams from a safe range). Also Orianna, because it's so damn satisfying to use your ball effectively during laning/combat (and I find it satisfying because it's hard).

For all these negative effects on gameplay, what benefits did it offer? Essentially nothing. I suspect that the real reason the stealth rework has been extended for so long is that their idea of stealthed champs ignoring wards and only being visible when near a champion (but at a reduced range) still suffers from basically every problem mentioned above. As a result, they've been forced to keep trying new approaches, but evidently not with much success. Ideally they'll just scrap the idea of permanent stealth altogether. I'd like to see all forms of stealth completely removed, but that's unlikely.

I need to start playing that guy, actually. Seems like one of the most fun champs.
