Can someone remind me what Riot's beef was with long-duration stealth was?
Because I seem to remember being the argument being along the lines that long-duration stealth is too powerful against players who don't buy pink wards. Ganks/etc. coming from nowhere.
Except I don't see the weight in that argument--if you're too stupid to buy pink wards, you're probably too stupid to buy green wards also (in fact, I'm pretty sure there are a LOT of players that know to buy pink wards against stealth heroes, but don't regularly buy green wards for their lane). And from that perspective, there are a bunch of jungler ganks that are way more dangerous than Twitch/Eve stealth ganks when you're not buying green wards--Rammus, Warwick post-6, Lee Sin, etc.

Too strong for low skill/low effort players, not worth putting it in for top level. That's how I feel about it. If it's balanced for top players buying pinks and warding jungle camps and stuff then it's OP for people who just want to have fun and aren't tryharding/paying attention.
Getting level 2 ganked and fb'd at your first cs just is kinda annoying for some people, I guess.

I could never get bored with Rumble. In general, the more skillshots I have to work with, the more fun that champ is to play for me, especially ones that are highly rewarding if you hit (Blitz). I'm not entirely bored with non-skillshot champs, but as long as I have them I feel more involved in the game.

Funny that, I basically dont play any skillshot champions. >.>

Even if its like 30-60 seconds of standing behind people just waiting.
Try doing that with a champion who doesnt have a long duration stealth.
Huge difference.

I'm thinking about saving up for a top lane champ or a new jungle and pretty much everything top lane doesn't interest me in the slightest.
Udyr/GP are effective but they dont appeal to me at all. Kennen can go top but he just seems super boring. Rumble seems situational.
Maybe wukong messing with people? I don't have mantheon. Naut seems fun but i think i need to do some more looking in to him. Nasus is fucking boring. FARM FEST. I pretty much hate every single ranged AD champion. HURR DURR LAST HIT. Shaco is super boring as well. He use to be cool when I could carry as AP Shaco in summoners rift, but those jitb nerfs hurt so hard, that I can no longer roam shaco. Morde is pretty boring.
Funnest champions are the ones that you can spam moves, like riven, rumble, kennen, and etc

Anyway, my answer still hasn't changed. Sion is still boring as fuck.

The beef was the chilling effect it had on the laning phase. Vision wards helped, but it's tough for top/mid to constantly go back every few minutes for one. Moreover the enemy could counter-ward, and in the end extremely defensive play was always necessary. The result was a very stagnant, uninteresting laning phase.

for me personally the problem with stealth being a core mechanic of a class is the binary nature of it. look at the situation in wow, or any other rpg really. when rogues open from stealth, the other guy feels shit, the rogue feels 'normal' and they play out the fight. except the balance out the chance of the stealth not working the rogue feels a bit op.
then if the rogue cant start in stealth the rogue feels shit, the other player feels 'normal' getting to play out their normal response to being attacked, and the rogue will feel underpowered.
in either situation 1 player is hating the experience and the other feels like this is how fights always are, the fun anti fun balance is skewed towards antifun ;/ and like i said, the binary nature of the mechanic leaves less room for play style etc.

You obviously don't understand the glory of the pillar if you think trundle is boring.

No, he's actually just boring as hell. Having a terrain effect isn't enough to make a champion interesting. he's just a pile of stat boosts with a wall.

Fun champ = heimerdinger, lux
>: mordekaiser is fun if you love nomnom on farm; or you could try the feed enemy ad hard and then ult him

Trundle is probably the least dynamic jungler I can think of. His two skills that can be used in creeps are 'attack again' and 'attack faster', lol.
A good Pillar is rewarding and albeit fight-changing. But doesn't detract from the fact that he's still not a very interesting champion to play.
