What do you think is the best passive and which do you think is worse?
Best for me, perhaps stat increasers such as vlads or Singed. Worse? I hate nunu, ash and Swain's passive (Swain's is just boring) Worst passive is easy: Evelynn's. It's the third-best passive of its type, after Fizz's and Amumu's E. Best is definitely subjective, but my top 5 would be: - Tristana - Urgot - Kennen - Janna - Poppy All 5 of those passives are retardedly strong, to the point where they're one of the strongest (if not the strongest) skill in the champion's skillset. On February 05 2012 04:39 starfries wrote: I wish they would stop putting AA passives on casters. Like Lux, Orianna, Ziggs, and probably someone else I'm forgetting. I appreciate the thought behind it and it's kind of useful in lane, but I'm still never going to go around autoattacking people in a teamfight. Ziggs' passive is fantastic and how a caster AA passive should be designed. The numbers are probably too high on it (especially vs towers), but trading an autoattack once in a while and being rewarded for it is good design. Same with Kennen's W. Ryze's passive defines the champion. Annie's passive is also very essential to her kit. Galio and Rammus passives are both up there. Nasus and Morgana passives very powerful. Sona's passive is also pretty essential to how she's played.
I think Ryze's might be better than Janna's, but I'm not really sold on any of the others being as strong - Annie's is a weaker version of Kennen's, Sona's (like Shyvana's) requires specifically named abilities, and the other 4 are stats (with a special nod to Morg's for not being mass-buyable). Actually, I guess I would say Ryze's passive is better than Janna's, since plenty of champions would kill for it.

I guess I would say Ryze's passive is better than Janna's, though. Annie's passive would be straight-up broken on a caster with a low-CD target-less or AoE spell (Vlad, Karthus, Cassi, etc.) because her passive stacks are tracked on herself and don't require the spell to hit anything to get a stack. It's only reasonable on her because her spammable spell requires a target, so you can't effortlessly charge stacks without creeps/heroes being nearby. Kennen's isn't the same because his passive stacks are managed per-target.
Ryze is the same way--balanced solely by the fact that he has 3 spells that require targets and 1 medium-long CD ult. If someone like Cassi, Karthus, or Kennen had Ryze's passive, and you could reduce their ult CDs by Qing into thin air, they would be stupidly overpowered.

(probably only time I'll ever say this, haha) Perfect initiate by Ashe.. but what's this? Google's team's Karthus presses E, Kennen Presses R, and Wukong Presses R... Oh nice 4:1 Exchange for Team Google! Just look at that press one button and do nothing else skill!
Spoke too soon, Team factset engages from two angles so that this time team google can't coordinate their R buttons to hit everyone on the enemy team at the same time.

i think ryzes passive is more balanced around the fact his ult does 'no' dmg. ryze can easily get his ult back on the same minion push that he uses it to clear, its the fact he cant spam random spells to get a cass ult back every 10 seconds that makes it ok.
anyone else having problems with the ahgl stream?

I already admitted that I had undervalued Ryze, but as far as Annie's vs Kennen's, there's a decided tradeoff. Annie's stun is guaranteed on the first hit with a precharge, but requires more stacks and will fire off no matter what you wind up hitting, while Kennen's requires fewer stacks, but can fade off the target and requires you to land 3 abilities on the same target.
It's definitely closer than I thought when I wrote that out, but I think that an easier to stack stun and an easier to hit stun both have situations where they're better. Even though Cass and Karthus might massively prefer Annie's because they can stack it, champions like LeBlanc and Kassadin would gain much more benefit from just always getting the stun.
e: Kass is sort of a bad example because Riftwalk can be used to stack semi-reliably, but the idea is that getting your stun 100 times out of 100 outweighs being able to use it in an AoE easier for some champions.

Dyrus really ribbing on people's lack of skill in go4lol on his stream. The amount of mean-ness (or honesty if you wish) sounds weird coming from someone casting.

Maybe there are more serious problems for the world. But certainly not for TL LoL General Discussion. It's either this or gp10 on supports again. Better yet, gp10 on supports BECAUSE the majority are female -> Riot is saying that all women are cheap prostitutes. I know the argument of sexism in video games could be discussed all day long, but it's probably better to just stick to agree to disagree and move on haha. I'll just say that it is my opinion that Riot isn't INTENTIONALLY sexist (i.e. any stereotypes are just a byproduct of the artists' imaginations and not a deliberate attempt to segregate women into a specific role) and leave it at that. Whoa, the gay's are offended at the lack of mention of Taric. Way to totally shove the gay agenda away. (SARCASM)

Which teams did he stream? I don't know about Go4LoL, but I guess it's ran simultaneously on multiple servers, so he was commentating on NA matches?

Yi is A.) Cheap B.) Really easy to play. There's not much depth involved: want to do damage/gap close? Press Q. Want to do a little more while auto attacking? Press E. Want to run away or kill stuff fast? Press R. Oh fuck? Press W.

Go4LoL is pretty much just the B-tier teams. All of the good teams in NA skip it every week because the prize pool sucks and there aren't any circuit points attached to it (at least I don't think there are). So like CLG, TSM, Dignitas, Curse and EG skip it. The only teams people know of that still play Go4LoL events are like Goose and I don't know if they even play them.
People like Yi because for 450 IP you get a champion that can jungle, can crush people in lane if they're bad cause of Yi's Alpha Strike and his healing, and late game he can back door and carry super hard if people don't know how to team fight. He's a champion that can do a little bit of everything and also happens to pubstomp super hard.
