Maybe I feel disjointed from all the Pokemon references everywhere 'cause I'm so damn old and the only one I played was Blue/Red. Which were the best ones anyway. I'm in my early 20s and played those, don't pretend to be older than you are! You just dislike Pokémon. Sick bastard.
I'm not in my early 20s.....

Accidental post. Ignore Please.

God, there's a Shyvana in almost every single game I play. It's been forcing me to play Udyr almost every game I jungle. Maokai gets wrecked and I suck with Lee Sin.

Yup, it's like most people have some sort of "school" or "work" commitments on weekdays. One can only wonder what those weird things are.
Yeah but most people that have work and school play AFTER work and school. I'm talking about a weekday weekend kinda thing.... kinda like young teenagers who aren't allowed on the computer after school, but come the weekend they just whore themselves out.
It's really pretty interesting. Like Two Down said, 1700 daytime is vastly different from 1700 peak korean time. Although, it's not like I've come up with a better system than Elo, so I'm not meaning to bitch bout it.

You also experience a large skill decrease across the board when school's out like in summer or during christmas break.

Once LoL brings out replays I'm all for a LoL mod where you can create your own maps. Also, Blue/Red generation best generation imo! :D wrap/fire spin most op moves in the game lolol.
|
Blue and red were definitely the best generation. I don't recognize any of the new ones

smash/brees/me won a LAN tourney today, in spud's name, RIP SPUD WE LOVE YOU

Damn. Rambo is easily the best caster in the LoL scene right now... he just made fun of Elementz 'mayo kai'.

Some of the new pokemon are just so unimaginative.
Deerling. Guess what, it's a deer. A baby deer. Great.
I mean, beedrill may have just been a bee with drills, but at least that's cool, not like a baby deer.

Amumu and Jarvan are my go to junglers, but I also have some of the other common ones. I'm thinking about buying nocturne since his ganks are faceroll easy. Also adding in some jungle riven.

Jungle panth. Best jungle.

Well of course they're the best ones to you, they're the only ones you played...
I've played blue/red, gold/silver and ruby/sapphire. imo gold/silver was the best of those by a pretty wide margin

If you actually go back and look at some of the old pokemon with a critical eye you're gonna realize how incredibly lame they were

I'd be willing to fund a scientific study that somehow managed to find people who had never played Pokemon before, then study the enjoyment derived from each of the Pokemon games. I'd even fund a quasi-port of the earlier generations to homogenize graphics and interface and such. All so I could cite a scientific study that conclusively proves people are wearing nostalgia goggles thicker than 70s music lovers when it comes to Pokemon games.

We should probably get back to LoL before Neo smites us all.
How do you beat Rammus as Kennen? My lightning spells don't seem to affect him at all, but his Tremors basically one-shots me.

Of course we are looking at it through nostalgia goggles, because that game was revolutionary when it came out. An RPG where you formed a party of 6 heros from a pool of 150, each with different strengths and weaknesses that could be further customized to learn 4 spells of your choosing. That shit was groundbreaking.

Just because I'm about to sleep and there are no streams of LoL that I actually can watch on....

I like red/blue just because they're the originals, but quality-wise I'd say heart gold/soul silver were the best because it brought in better everything along with the awesomeness of gold/silver (which basically was red + blue 4? years later) and actually gives the game continuity. I just can't give up my roots.
The problem I have with pokemon isn't actually the games though. It's the retarded anime. They go from Ash actually developing and growing into a good trainer and revert him constantly into a retarded 10 year old who wouldn't have his shoes tied if it wasn't for his companions tying it for him. Like pikachu can outright beat most pokemon entered in the Pokemon League but come 1 year later, Ash doesn't age, still being 10, and now pikachu can't beat a lvl 5 mudkip. And now pikachu gains an "ability" which the creators decided to put in after the fact, and Ash never even knew about after being with pikachu for like 20 years of his life where he never aged. =/
They could have done sooo much more with the Anime, and it would have actually been really good quality. Pokemon is generally directed towards kids 10-15 years of age (although a lot of college students play it too lol). Do you think they wouldn't actually watch someone age over time? You know, develop into someone great? Heck, you could even add in episodes where Ash goes through puberty and his voice cracks during his journey (new voice actor!). People that age could relate.
Anyway, ending my rant....... won't mention it again.

You mean lane rammus? If so, he has 0 sustain. Just keep a distance and keep harassing constantly with autos while farming. Eventually you can harass him out of lane since everytime he goes into a last hit he'll be eating auto attacks. You have your e so you can at any time run from him. And if he q's at you, not only can you get behind creeps, you can run away just as fast.

Having played every single generation of pokemon, I still think that gold/silver is the best series. Yellow is also really cool because it's closer to the lore we saw in the anime, but gold and silver is just so much good content tbh. Of course, you could still argue that it's nostalgia, I did spend obscene amounts of time with my Pokemon Gold (complete pokedex, woho).
Edit: Okay I realized I haven't played Heart Gold/Soul Silver, but if they're pretty much remakes of Gold/Silver, my point still stands
PS. Anyone else afraid that their game's internal battery will run out and you'll lose the saved game?

I just don't know; his Earthquake move just seems super-effective against me.
(I didn't even know it was possible to lane Rammus. >.>)
I remember when I was like 6, my older cousin (like 16) had this amazing Red savefile (for my six year old self. In hindsight, I think he used MissingNo.). He let me borrow his game for a year, when we'd meet up again. I lost the cartridge on the plane ride home, and got so anxious every time I played my Red. When our families got back together, I spent the entire trip avoiding him at all costs. Finally, I told him through tears that I had lost his Red game, and was so so sorry etc. His response: "I had Pokemon Red?".
God damn it Mikey.
