Query: What would be a good, cheap champion to jungle with on a level 11 smurf account, using only Tier 1 runes?
Nunu can clear the jungle and stay at high health thanks to consume, though afaik he is out of favour as a jungler atm because he is slow.
Trying Maokai in custom b.c he's free this week. With him I can do a full clear with Regrowth + pot and end up at 200something health without leash, so with leash on blue I might even have enough health left for a gank.
Edit: As for masteries, I'm putting my 11 points in Defense to compensate for the lack of Armor runes.
Thoughts/suggestions?

Good rule of thumb: If you could jungle properly in the 'old' jungle with a champion, its ok to jungle with it lower lvl in the 'new' jungle.

Warwick has really really good sustain but Udyr is only 3150 IP and has insane clear times.
If you don't mind spending the 3150 IP go with Udyr, otherwise I'd go with Warwick.
With Warwick, if you start blue first you can basically buy whatever items you want at the beginning because Hungering Strike plus his passive gives you plenty of life steal for your first clear.

go with udyr. udyr with cloth 5 opening is stupidly safe and fast with very little in the way of runes and such.

I think the smart casting issue has to do with the little update they did with the 'show smartcast ranges' options change. I turned it on, tried it, then off again, and still have to hold shift during the whole key down-key up process in order for it to actually work. Not sure if the actual option is related but it has been that way for this patch for me at least.

Excellent, thanks for the input .
And what about our old bovine pal Alistar?

And what about our old bovine pal Alistar? if you're still talking about jungling, he's pretty rune dependant iirc and is actually much more about just roaming around and camping lanes than actually clearing jungle. in other words, he's a very niche jungler who would not be good to learn the basics on, or do well without runes.

Do you guys think they're currently some sleepers to be discovered? Moonie called Kennen months ago and I'm pretty sure we've had discussions about double WotA before it was getting more popular. Anything you see becoming really big in the next couple of weeks-months? Galio, more Ahri, Ziggs?

i use ctrl+Q/W/E/R for smartcasting and it works just as before, i tried the range option once but i found it too slow, i rather press Q W E R when i really need a range indicator and then i can still smartcast as usual or just left click.

I think its to much to call really. There is a whole host of champions who are good enough to do well in the hands of experianced players but dont get played in tournament games. Any of em could break out any moment.
Personaly if I had to name one it would be Ashe.
(just dont let it be voli, hes all mine!)

If someone's already fond of smartcasting in general and has accustomized to having smartcast on Q W E R, I'd suggest trying to bind their normal casts to Shift or Ctrl + Q W E R. It's what I'm doing and it's great for stuff like GP and Cass Ult.

yeah that would work too, i just have a keyboard where it makes no difference for my fingers wether i press ctrl or not since i do that with my hand itself.

Its lategame, nashor and dragon are down, won't respawn until ~5 minutes, no one has Baron buff. Your team has destroyed the enemies mid inhibitor, all lanes are at the river (not pushed), the all from outer towers are down. The enemies team would win in a team fight.
Now in my theory you would attack one tower with the whole team, trying not to get caught and let the mid lane push itself until someone has to go mid and then maybe try something 5v4.
What if their poke is better then ours and they can hold us off reasonable well 4v5? Keep all lanes pushed and then try to get all the objectives? Fake Nashor and let someone backdoor their towers?
Thanks for your input.
If you have a middle inhibitor all your lanes will push because your minions get a buff. The lanes cannot equalize at the river.
Why can you not win a teamfight though? If it's because their comp outscaled yours then you need to try to split them up or force a mistake. If you're down in gold you can try to hang out for objectives, but since all your lanes are pushing it's far easier for them to farm than you so it could be hard to come out ahead in that department as well.

The point of smartcasting is to be as fast as possible and one keypress is always faster than two, even if only from a latency perspective.

Also, MYM has the stronger champ assortment imo. Sivir and Skarner are just so dominant right now, and Irelia should be able to go even/demolish GP top with no problem.
