And his ratios are amazing, BUT he has only 1 (2 with ulti) damage spells. His Q is totally useless in team fights. (superb for securing objectives tho). His W is obv. super awesome for your carry. His E has some nice ratios but is his only reliable damage skill and the range is real short, but well, at least it slows and unless you are empire you should always eat an instant stun or smth when you channel your ult. So your team relies on either fighting in brushes or your carry being so fed that your W can decide the fight. | ||

Banshee is trash since you pay a lot for the Mana, Abyssal is very expensive, Wits doesn't give that much MR if opponents play double AP, FoN is balanced around paying for a lot of health regen, QSS is nice but still a «low tier» item... When on the armor side you have Randuin, Frozen Heart, and Atma, the MR def looks kinda lackluster. | ||

Throw in all the free mr that champs get from abilities and mr isn't a huge problem Fon is the best single item mr slot. After that just stack negatrons if you need mr but not mana Also mr isn't the only or even the best counter to magic damage. Since magic damage is typically more bursty than sustained compared to physical, hp is very strong against magic damage Aegis + chainmail + negatron is the most cost efficient way to get all good defensive stats iirc. It's just bad item slot usage (yango confirm pls) | ||

I used to generally ask my team what they want to play to avoid banning them, and went for Vayne or Graves (if requested by our AD carry), Riven, rest junglers (Rammus if the opponent didn't, Skarner, Lee Sin). I've started banning Sivir since she's been picked a lot and generally dominates people during the laning phase, and Riven isn't picked that much. I'd perhaps ban Ahri (for not knowing a reliable way to counterpick her and because she can easily wreck havoc with her ult, cleaning-up ganks or counter-ganks from the jungle whenever somebody emerges at low health), and Vlad if I see him start to get picked because he's so stupid right now, even in his early levels. | ||

I think most chos go RoA/Frozen Heart anyways, and then build Deathcap if going AP. Wit's end is pretty standard for attack speed. Im AD bot, I freeze the lane just outside my tower, so perfect for ganking and farming, while they have to be on their toes. Suddenly theres a 5man gank on bot, towerdiving me and my support (tp behind us, some flashes). Mid comes over and kills one before scaring the rest off. While Im running back to my lane (this was about lvl5 ~) the AP (Ahri) proceeds to take the full 30 ish creeps that I froze there and runs off. Costing me a good level and alot of gold. The rest of the game Ahri is complaining how my cs and lvl are so low (exactly 20 cs behind and lvl) and why my lane is allways pushing.... Meanwhile she was losing to a katarina on mid... Aaaaaargh, some people. Screw over my lane, complain how my lane is so bad. Some people dont know the thought goes into the farming on bot. brb smurfing with twitch | ||

Sorry. edit: for everyone who wants more insight to the Wriggles/PD vs IE/Vamp scepter on AD carries: http://redd.it/p271f it's a reddit discussion with some calculations and comments from Jatt (which I think makes it valuable) i think the fact that its even remotely close agrees with what ive been thinking for a long time. firstly, wriggles build is getting you defence. the fact that dps is similar, some free armor is kinda godmode for trading. secondly, everyone loves to talk about how wards buying safety = better farming. well, here we go again, an extra ward constantly will on average allow the wriggles player to lane better. thirdly, and this is subjective. movement speed is hugely underrated by everyone. if you cant keep up with someone/catch them in time your doing 0 dps. phantom dancer makes you fly around shooting all the things. i have no idea how to quantify wriggles procs in terms of gold value. they help you feel like you can rush a dragon more often, but if you were going to get killed doing it, you probably still will be, i dont really know. but its something other people probably have better opinions on. jatt on reddit said theres an 8% difference in favor of IE in 1 build he has done the numbers for, but even at that level id still go wriggles first knowing this information. | ||
