I love playing with music but I find my concentration level is just waaaay lower with music on.
depends what kind of music. I tend to play pretty well with jiji music or ambient but if i try to listen to stuff with lyrics it just gets annoying

i noticed this 10 years ago when i lost a long age of empires 2 game on yucatan against a 2100 black forest player, ever since that game which still haunts me, i turn off music in online games.

if your into electronic music then I suggest progressive techno/house/trance whatever suits your style better. Progressive is a very fluent genre that goes on and on without breaks/highs/downs or w/e kind of structure that I find disturbing during a high concentration task.

I tend to play quite better when music is off for whatever reason but playing with music more fun.

I find that usually I forget that music is even playing in the first place. Most of the time I'll get to the end of the game and realize, "Oh yeah.. I guess music is playing."

Ive been playing a bit and today I realised the in game community is quite bad compared to a lot of other games I played. A lot of insults flying around, and some people leave the game because their team is "noob" and they get mad at them for dying.
There's also a lot of griefers who just leeroy jennings their way in then start swearing and bming in chat for their death (running into enemy cannon and champs before minions spawn :/)
I've been playing ranked does that make a difference? I felt like ranked was supposed to be more relaxed and less serious since you know, its unranked.

My experience is that people will flame more and troll less in ranked compared to unranked. Instead of crying for 20 minutes people just go afk in unranked.

Kills motivation to play the game when Im just trying to mess around and have fun then having people be complete flamers/trolls in the process. Looks like LoL might not be the relaxing just for fun enjoyable game I would like it to be -_-

In DotA 2 there is voice chat by default.

Don't think lol is especially bad to be honest. I mean you have to be fairly thick-skinned to play any team based internet game and enjoy it I believe anyways.

Didn't actually know that... Can you turn it off? I mean this would probably prevent me from ever playing DOTA2. I can stand people typing stuff but when it comes down to eating/other noises I get really mad.

I played a few games on a friend's account, and the few people who used it were actually quite understanding and nice to the people who were new to the game (myself included). I was pleasantly surprised, but there is no way that's the norm, and I definitely do not want VOIP in LoL.

My new found love for LoL is Pendulum. Not to mention they're also the band with the biggest balls (and tits. kind of.) shown in a music video ever.

Setting up a TS3 server takes 10 minutes though if you have an internet server.

skype, mumble are both free, you can host your own vent server if you can be bothered to set it up.

So I'm about to buy my first ever 6300 champion. I love to jungle so I'm leaning towards Lee Sin. I would get Skarner but I find his voice very annoying, same goes for Riven. How fun is Lee Sin to play and how fast does he clear jungle? (Is he on the level of Udyr for fast clearing and fun?)
