It depends a lot on how you play. I think spell vamp quints are good if you start dshield, since you probably won't be going back for a while (and since you don't have boots, you need to farm up revolver and boots instead of just revolver). AP quints are good if you want to zone early. For someone like Mordekaiser you want to send him back as much as you can before he gets a revolver so I'd get AP quints against him. I haven't tried HP quints but I think they'd be good against more bursty mids. I know some people get movespeed too but I don't really like them. They're probably good for teamfights though. I like the 10 energy in utility just because 210 energy lets you QWE at level 3 and 4 if you need to stun someone to escape a gank or something. If you level QWQ instead of QWE then it's a bit less useful. Movespeed is good too. I think 9/9/8 with the rest of the points in whatever is a decent alternative. I'm not a huge fan of the AP side in offense. edit: actually 9 not 8 in utility. he's not RELIANT on buffs but both blue and red are amazing on him. it's pretty much impossible to kill a double buff Kennen with Rylai's since he kites ridiculously well. | ||

Which I think you should, Kennen is a really strong duelist. But if someone is getting vamp quints they have to get the spell vamp in utility. Which means less offensive masteries and is another reason I think the spell vamp quints are a deceptive trap (unless you want to play a boring farm lane as Kennen). | ||

Why would you have to get the spell vamp mastery just because you get spell vamp quints? You don't have to hit a certain sweet spot like some jungle setups, so you can consider the cost/return for masteries and runes independently. | ||
