Basically, its dependent upon the play style of the laner who's lane you're ganking. I have no problem jungling in arranged 5s because of better communication, but I basically gave up on jungling in solo queue. That said I commit to the gank in my lane 90% of the time unless the counter gank is already shown incoming. playing jungle in soloQ is so dumb situation: I'm doing red, ashe soraka bot. me: hey bot, dont push the lane, im gonna gank bot soon ashe: ok ashe volleys the creeps, trololol

A.) The lane is pushed B.) Summoners have been blown / hp is low C.) The champion has retarded scaling (aka Nasus) Some junglers have really strong level 2 ganks (Lee Sin), while others should wait until 3 (Amumu, Rammus) or later. I avoid a level 2 gank if it will impede my ability to clear the jungle. Most junglers can get their full gank arsenal at level 3 and still finish their clear without incident. As rammus, I might clear blue > wraiths and get a level in w q e, then come around from behind the mid lane to gank whatever is there. This will force either a flash or a kill 95% of the time. However, if the lane is pushed into their tower, you will never accomplish a gank, so you just keep clearing your jungle.

That just unfairly skews the circuit toward teams that are well known, and get invited based on being known. They already get a shot at more prize monies--we don't need that also skewing what's ostensibly an open competitive circuit. It's also pretty dodgy to track NA and EU qualification separately, but award points based on standing at events the way they do. Like, SK at IEM Guangzhou and Fnatic at IEM NY had the same placement relative to other European teams (SK beat the other European teams to qualify to go to Guangzhou at all), but Fnatic gets more points for winning IEM NY because IEM Guangzhou had NA/Chinese teams place higher? How well NA/Chinese teams do at events shouldn't affect the relative point values for European teams, especially when the Chinese don't even get their own qualification circuit. Same should be true for NA. Basically WE winning IEM Guangzhou didn't qualify them for anything, while also making CLG and SK's placement worth less, despite the fact that among teams eligible to compete in the Season 2 Circuit, they placed effectively 1st and 2nd. I get the feeling that yet again, Riot didn't think this one all the way through, and got lazy and copy-pasted a lot of stuff from Season 1. Good post. Hope you don't mind if I c&p and forward it.

When playing as the Moose, I start blue, hit wolves, and if mid is pushed I ping them, sneak behind, Q-E-W, ezpz. At the very least you do a ton of damage and force a blue pill but I get FB like 90% of the time. Then just finish your clear like a baws. I don't know about other champs though... I really only jungle Rammus.
