It'd be easier to find if it was in the live stream UI on the right sidebar so it can be favorited.

Is there still a TeamLiquid team? Haven't heard about them in a while.

LoL rewards the various skills differently than DotA and HELL YES that is good. I don't want a copy of DotA. Otherwise I would just play DotA.

There's an TL team on the EU server who are representing our little subforum quite well. A handy bunch of players. On NA, there's no competitive level type of team. There are groups formed majority wise of TL members like "TL B" and Severity Gaming.

I'm all for a mechanic that would cause you to lose 50hp every 10 seconds unless you hit a combination of random buttons at exactly the right time.

its just about winning your lane, and chogath always does that unless you're a retard Or the other player is significantly better? I know this is an old thread but take this for comparison: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/2267591868Just for comparison, Idra wins 75% of his SC2 games. Westrice is going to win far more than 75% of top lanes in solo Q vs random no name Cho'gath mains. Does this mean SC2 is too easy?
what? not really, westrice loses all the time, sucks imo. only has like a few decent champs in his arsenal. and westrice rarely plays no names, above 2k there's so many good players, even the one's who don't play on teams I've started recognizing just from watching streams

So the "A team" disappeared then? We should try to get something going again then.

This game is so ridiculously bugged it's not fun. Shyv's ult is so stupid. She's about to die to my Riven, so she ults at me to push me into tower range. Suddenly, all my creeps are around me, tower is bombing me, I can't use any of my skills (cannot cast that yet is what I get) and I can't even move.
Best part is, relog won't even fix this, you absolutely need to die to get your skills working again. Hell, this once almost cost me a ranked game, I managed to get away but my skills were still unusable, good thing I had GA up.

i think the major contributing factor to TL A's demise is the lack of an 'administrator' kind of person who was willing to coordinate signups, practices and whatnot. If you want to revive it, either you will have to step up or find someone who wants to do that sort of thing. Iirc, Smash was more/less the 'team captain' so to speak until he got sick of it.

This person cannot be significantly abused by a pro. That's your hypothetical argument. And what everyone is trying to say, is that this person doesn't exist. All you are doing is making a strawman argumen at this pointt. Actual evidence of watching pros stream shows them continuously gain advantages against the random Joe's who have Elo to be matched against them. This is factual. Do pros still occasionally lose lanes or similar situations? Yes, because of all the factors anyone would lose a lane: they played vs someone who had the combination of skill, matchup, awareness, luck, etc to gain an advantage. Edit: cleaned up grammar
These people do exist...
It's not surprising at all to me when I look up someone who failed unbelievably hard in my game to see their most played heroes are extremely ezmode/gimmicky. If you suck at laning but pick Sion/Cho/morg/old morde etc...then you will win way more games since that basically nullifies your weakness. It's similar to the people who may not necessarily be good at any standard role but main Shaco, all they have to do is run around, look at the minimap to gank whoever's overextending and it will get them to at least 1500/1600 elo where as if they were playing a hero like orianna or something they would be way lower.
Edit: It's also not about playing dota, there's plenty of matchups in LoL that reward skill without it being like dota. Look at most mid matchups ie. annie vs cass... there's tons of room to show who is the better player without afk farming for 20mins.

I just had a normal champ select start and it bugged to where it should the skin screen but there was no skins and the tab was on champion. couldnt do anything including type. luckily someone afked out and next game started fine

these kinds of people are going to exist regardless of the game tho. My brother, who plays SC2 as much, if not more than i play LoL, constantly complained about ppl who just cheesed their way up the ladder and literally could not play games past the 5 minute mark (he was master btw, just for reference, not some bronze/silver player, so he wasn't terrible), and SC2 is undeniably more mechanically intensive than LoL, so i'm not sure how abusing 'easy-mode' strats is something specific to LoL's mechanics.

There were admins. Players themselves didn't have the motivation to practice. We were lucky if we consistently had 5 people show up for Premiere League and we never were able to run our strongest lineup except one match during the qualifiers.

Personality and his persona in solo q. Kinda sad because he wasn't as bad as people made him out to be.

Riven is probably the strongest of the three.
