I'm not a big fan of saint's non-wriggle build. The lack of sustain is really noticeable when things don't go perfectly. You also won't realistically finish Bloodrazor in close games. A wriggles, boots, wit's end, hp item (probably warmog) is a solid core build and many games will probably finish around here.

That being said, spell vamp is insane on Fizz, so fitting in a revolver could be good too.

Max w looked super fast when saint did it yesterday. I mean, you basically need to hit each small creep like twice then let your dot do the rest while you move on to the next.

I think he did a full clear in ~3:40 with not all that much HP left? Then again I also think I remember him doing a slightly faster clear even though Blue reset, so I don't know...
Doesn't seem super fast considering that the new masteries speed everything up a bunch. Not slow either though.

I think he said that the problem with jungle fizz is that you can't gank that well.

Jungle Fizz ganks aren't all that amazing. You have great gap closers but no cc to speak of other than red buff if you get it and that's usually not enough to force a flash or kill if your lane partner doesn't have hard cc.

@Sandster: According to the wiki, Fizz's W doesn't apply spellvamp and only his Q and R uses spellvamp.

The wriggles nerf was necessary imo. The item offers so much ability for the price. It almost pays itself off in a long game if you always use the wards ability. It offered too much sustain as well.

So you simply jungle Fizz with laners who can apply CC reliably by themselves (but dont necessarily have the damage to finish people off). As far as I have seen, his damage is pretty amazing.

Most top lane matchups have some CC but not enough damage to finish the enemy off on both sides. Janna can apply her CC pretty reliably. Kassadin, Karthus...

Just compose your team properly...
If you have a good reason to disagree with the above, please tell me. Thank you.

Not to mention, Fizz is probably one of the best gankers when it comes to killing people with escapes. You lane some ad bot with taric, hit the stun and let fizz pop an auto or 2 on ez or corki, it doesnt matter if they flash, the bleed will take care of them under their own tower.

It's not wrong.

Compare playing vs a veigar to playing vs a Ryze. Against a veigar you pretty much have to always play super safe because he'll 1 shot you if he ever lands a stun, whereas with Ryze he'll never 100-0 you in a single combo, so you can have more small exchanges.

It´s actually the opposite. You can´t let Veigar farm since oneshoting fools once he has a boatload of AP is his speciality. His weakness is that he has to use his harrass (q) to get there.
Ryze is unique in how utterly sustainable he is dute to his itemisation, he comes out on top if you just keep trading with him.

Fizz has great damage I agree with that, but unless the lane you're ganking has some hard cc you're not gonna do much. It's worth mentioning imo because in solo q people are stupid and pick stupid shit with no cc. With the right picks Fizz is a pretty solid ganker.

You completely whiffed the point. Who gives two shits about how you deal with Veigar in the early levels when the examples perfectly illustrated the difference in how people play against something that will 100-0 them vs something that will involve smaller harass trades.

The game is only really passive in the early lvls, later on there's usually enough going on.

Remember ryze doesn't build any AP so he's a lot stronger against veigar than you think once he gets some hp.

I understand you're just trying to come up with an example though.

So you could run 2 ap solos instead of getting tanky dps from the top lane.

Then why would you decide that AFTER THE FACT? If you knew you were playing double AP, then obviously you wouldn't pick a lane bruiser that sucks in the jungle.

I don't see how you'd run into a situation where you'd pick a bruiser who's very clearly a much stronger top laner than jungler, and then go "JK guys, we're playing double AP, so this bitch is going to jungle!"

EDIT: Unless of course, you call top in solo queue, and get trolled by some random who picks an AP, and you want to salvage the situation by going jungle. But that's got nothing to do with the question of what's "viable".

I've been thinking about buying as runes but they're quite the investment. What heroes do benefit from them the most? Phoenix udyr, skarner?

For clarity in this discussion I think the original statement needs re-emphasizing... could be wrong.

Compare playing vs a veigar to playing vs a Ryze

This is X champion vs. Veigar compared to X champion vs. Ryze. You play the matchups differently.

Pretty much. I think you want them on Vayne as well, Xin likes them somewhat, and.... maybe WW? I don't play him that much.

atk speed runes are great on WW. I run both atk speed marks and quints on him.

Can just spec into vampirism and get the extra 3% back so its basically the same, but you get a tiny bit of sustain in lane aswell

I'll use big bright words:

YOU PLAY COMPLETELY DIFFERENTLY VS SOMETHING THAT WILL GIB YOU FROM FULL OR NEAR-FULL HP THAN YOU DO VS SOMETHING THAT WILL HARASS YOU FOR AMOUNTS THAT WILL NEVER INSTANTLY KILL YOU FROM 100-0.

It's baffling that people are standing here arguing about these specific champions if it has any relevance to the actual point of the conversation.
