Riot releasing new OP champions and buffing morgana who basically takes his role now is the problem. Malz also got nerfed.

IMO the real clincher was the Malz nerf. Pre-nerf, I believe the consensus was "there's no reason to pick Brand when Malz does more damage"--when now I'm sure many people would say the exact opposite.

Orianna wasn't even in the patch though. People were less used to brand and a lot of teams still used him.

Fuck yeah got to gold! Last 6 ranks i went 5-1 but was sooo scared before each game not to lose :x
I think this should go to some kind of "reverse shikyo antiqq thread" but there's none

so I am trying to figure out what would be best mid: Ezreal or Brand. (actually I am trying to convince my buddy that brand is a better choice, but since he is arguing so hard to the contrary I want someone else's opinion on it.) basically the questions are: if you had Ezreal and brand on your team who should have mid and who should go bot (imagne top lane being taken by someone else) if Ezreal and brand were on opposing teams and both went mid who would win?

Ezreal with support has way to strong of a level two too waste mid. Stuns allowing autos and a q into a blink behind is surprisingly powerful botlane in my opinion.

Wickd playing Nasus vs millenium. Want to watch this. I've recently just been going trinity/GA-->shurelyas randuins/fon with cdr boots if I'm in ranked and can trust my team. Not sure if full tank nasus is good or not. I think you might get kited too hard. Also I started going defensive masteries and runes just to survive lane which is more important for CDR later, so my nasus has become more standard but M has a kiting team which should counter wickd if he doesn't build very tanky.

OMG that base race was exciting
|
Base race vs nasus and nocturne when you have 0 bruisers and nasus hits Q on tower for like 120312321 damage. (even without trinity )
Real dumb. Even though sona and vayne started going back instead of pushing they still won/

So is it over or is it BO3 or something?
|
I think Nasus not being able to do crazy dives is working in Wicked favor.
|
Nasus teamfighting is really strong due to whither being an insane help to your team without you comitting to anything. Wickds nasus is really unpolished though his builds are a bit off, he wastes too much mana and blows ultimate too early. He's not getting a lot of kills he should get but he's doing his job so it works.

It's more of a style preference I suppose, but the only thing MF has that Caityln doesn't have is an attack speed boost. I'd much rather have traps and 90 caliber net than impure shots and rain, and both of their ults are lackluster. Caitlyn's passive is also much stronger imo.
Maybe not if MF still had release Q damage, but I like Caitlyn's harass more. MF ult is lackluster? As far as those things that you'd "much rather have"--you're comparing apples to oranges. Whether an escape/cc is better than an AS/AD steroid is exremely situational and hard to judge. MF's problem is that she has the least outs of any AD carry--no escape, low AA range, long ult channel, and poor kiting--and most games are likely to see a hard-to-peel anticarry, as the most popular jungles are Lee Sin, Nocturne, and GP. This doesn't mean that MF is useless. Against a team that has comparatively weak diving/anticarry power, MF is a fine pick. The biggest issue with picking MF is that she's completely outshined by every other range carry in every area. For utility, Ashe is by far the strongest. Laning power goes to Cait. Pure raw dps late game goes to Corki (true damage op). Longest range goes to lvl 18 Tristana. Tank melting goes to Vayne/Kog'maw. MF simply just doesn't have any area that she's really good at comparatively. There's just no reason to pick her over any other AD carry 'cept Sivir. MF beats Corki on raw AoE damage late-game if she gets to safely channel her ultimate--In order to match the damage of a full Bullet Time + Make it Rain, Corki needs to hit all 7 rockets and channel a full Gatling Gun on the same targets. It's just that getting good ultimates off is extremely hard unless you have a good team to set you up and the enemy team lacks the ability to dive you--and again, the 2nd condition is almost never met. MF is flat out better in a mass AoE situation with amumu or whatever, and also her anti healing and passive means she is the best choice vs kite teams and really strong in lane/ Tristana is being played all the time now. No idea why everyone loves caitlyn so much, just good in lane and hard to fail at, ashe is much better overall. MF is really strong with AoE comps, I definitely agree. But against kite comps, Vayne does better. Her passive is much more reliable and is much much better at anti-kite. MF's heal reduction is pretty good I suppose, but with the sustainability nerfs in bot lane, it's not as strong as it used to be.
I guess I can somewhat change my stance from MF sucks 'cause she is outshined in all areas to MF is outshined in all areas except in AoE comps, which no one really runs anymore.
EDIT: Sivir is crappy, MF is situational. Tristana is neither; she is being picked all the time.

Well since no more mac client looks like im done with LoL T.T

People finally figured out that 'carry mobility' is a complete sham, and that except for Caitlyn near a few narrow walls and Tristana, none of them can actually be protected worth a damn.
All hail Dog'maw.
