Yeah I don't know what's going on here. Maybe if they buffed the base hp per level of supports it might work, but as it is now, for example as taric if you go auto attack someone in a team fight you just get obliterated. | ||

He is one of the strongest champions on the lane and if he lands just 1-2 kills the game is over and he snowballs to such insane degrees that regardless of how good you are, the insane stats will just overpower you. Jax a pubstomper? He's OP as hell. That don't mean they shouldn't nerf Brand, Oriana, GP and a whole host of other champs. | ||

Alistar is going to be the #1 bot lane support now (for support + AD), no way around that. His heal is 100% free and his babysitting and burst are still amazing. Karma mid + Alistar/Maokai/Lux/other nonstandard earlygame supports is going to be extremely stong, but I don't see Karma catching on anytime soon. Well unless some popular streamer picks her up. Then she's gonna go fotm immediately. | ||

But I'm very wary of any change to those passives because given Riot's track record, they've only ever made passives worthless when attempting to nerf/change them (ie. Kayle). | ||

Some types of passives/skills are just pretty hard to balance as the line between OP and UP can be extremely thin. If Riot thinks that the current Jax passive makes it hard for them to balance him, then sure, change it. It's not like his passive creates fun/unfun gameplay. It's just a stat enhancement. | ||

Hextech Gunblade: 330 HP Atma's Impaler (base HP): 114 HP -> 2 AD -> 6 HP (120 HP) Rylai's Crystal Scepter: 160 HP Guinsoo's Rageblade: 195 HP (Unstacked) / 291 HP (Fully Stacked) Dunno what else is/can be good on him, but consider this normal build: 3x DBlade = (3)90 Health, 30 AD Hextech = 330 Health, 60 AD, 75 AP Atma's = 52 AD (2637) -> 156 HP -> 3 AD (55 AD) -> 9 HP (167 HP) For buying just those items, Jax winds up with a total of 887 health, vs the 300 those 3 would totally grant. 587 is a whole lot of health - about 1.33 Giant's Belts. And that's with a half-'finished' build. Edit: Yes, I know that that weighs against other champion's passives. But health is a tangible thing, and Jax is one of the few champions blessed with ability passives as well. Health is also unusually effective on someone with 20% dodge, 100 armor and 100+ MR who's building pure offense aside from his boots. | ||
