I seem to be the only one who likes surrendering hopeless games, so why do YOU vote no? I'm curious, I want to know.

There are comebacks in a lot of games. Most teams aren't coordinated enough to be close out a deal 100% of the time even with a big advantage. I'm with you and frequently try to surrender but i'd say 70% of the games i try to surrender we end up winning anyway lol. It's a bad habbit but I don't play to win and coming back from way behind feels crappy because the enemy should have won but made some big mistakes.

There are some situations I know are completely hopeless (everyone on our team lvl 8, every opponent lvl 12, 1-10 score) that I will surrender. Usually if they are pushing into our base and destroying the towers before the minions die,its GG. However, there was a game i played yesterday where the opponents were pretty fed earlygame (5-10 score or something similar) and pushed us all the way back to our inhibitor turret, and my teammates were put through 2 surrender votes where one of our teammates wouldn't surrender. As time went on though, we started making a comeback (it helped getting warmogs and a couple other high-tier items), and eventually pushed the opponents into their base and they surrendered. If you are not 100% you are going to lose, then you shouldn't surrender. If they are not 3-4 levels ahead of your team and they are not pushing into your base with an unstoppable force of champions, then don't surrender.

My rule of thumb is never surrender ranked, surrender normals only when you are really behind (aka you lost at least one inhib while having no advantage over them - no baron/dragon advantage and at least 1 of your teammates keeps making dumb mistakes which cost you inhi/baron. You actually can still come back in such games, you just need to hope for said ally to stop making dumb mistakes). Also if we have cheesy earlygame teamcomp vs strong lategamers and yet we are losing hard i will probably want to surrender late midgame. Surrendering only because of score is dumb BTW

I vote NO most of the time. If game is hopeless and it's close to finish i prefer to give opponents chance to destroy Nexus. It feels much better then winning after surrender. On another note I didn't understand surrendering games were my team was strongly behind. But right now I don't have as much time as before to play lol and surrendering games that have somewhat around 10% winning chances comes much easier for me. Now after surrender I can spend time required for carrying such a game in another game. Ofc there are those games when you are so far behind that you don't need any other reason to surrender. Just some ppl consider game lost while other don't.

Anyway, I'm the type that rarely ever gives up. I play a game to have fun and dick around. I prefer to win but I don't care if I lose. I play to get better half the time anyway. Being so far behind means you can't make a single mistake and that you need to capitalize on your opponents mistakes. Playing in such scenarios does help make you a better player because you simply can't mess up or it costs you the whole game. To me, the person trying to surrender 95% of the time is just an annoyance. Of course there are some games where nobody wants to play anymore. Generally the only games I'll ever surrender are arranged 5's where we simply know we lost and they're about to end after an ace on us. In solo q and normals people are just there to have fun, screw around, etc, and make a LOT of mistakes. Just today I disconnect so enemy gets baron. I come back to score a quadrakill as eve and we push to win because they dived us at top inner tower. We won that game, even though my team had to fight 4v5 for 5 mins and the enemy was fed with baron. Stuff like that (disconnecting, feeding, etc) happens all the time. No need to rage about it, just play the game imoimo.

Surrendering only because of score is dumb BTW Score tells you a lot. If the other team is leading by 10 kills it generally means the game is done. The score isn't just practical. The practical side of leading by 10 kills is the gold advantage ofcourse. The point however is that you need to also remember how exactly it is that they can lead by 10 kills if they aren't just outright better then you. They have a gold advantage with kills and a skill advantage in having achieved those kills to begin with. If i see my team having to run around all the time and tower hugging non-stop or even afraid to engage 5v3 then it's safe to say that it's a gg and wasting more time isn't any fun. There are a lot of games that can be fun when losing but LoL is not one of them. Losing with LoL makes you feel completely unable to fight back.

There are a lot of games that can be fun when losing but LoL is not one of them. Losing with LoL makes you feel completely unable to fight back. So did you never ever run into people who are AWESOME at laning, really good midgame and then fail lategame? Because i do run into such people from time to time. Not to mention earlygame teamcomps - surrendering just because their LB is 4-0, pantheon is 3-0 and shaco is 4-0 isn't the best decision ever. I still say that surrendering just because of bad score is dumb, score doesn't win the game - sure it does help, but if enemies are good at 1v1ing, ganking etc but they barely win teamfights even though they are way ahead then you do have a chance of winning lategame (and if you are behind then "teamfights" usually means enemies overextending or towerdiving). Just like in SC there are people who know how to play early and midgame but suck lategame because they don't play too many lategame games (which is another problem of surrendering - you can't learn to come back if you never try) Also many people with high kills play very aggressive playstyle which is focusing of kills instead of other objectives, like dragon and towers. This kind of play relies on enemies having low morale cause of "feeder" in their team. I'm not entirely sure at what Elo are you playing, i'm only 1400 and i had quite many games where we came back from being 2 towers, 2 dragons behind and having a score of 3-15. Because when at huge lead people do make mistakes
