EPTPatch preview is up. Increased cost on Doran's items, nerfs to health quints and mana regen runes. From the way they described it, it sounds like they're nerfing Meditation and mana regen runes and bumping base hero mana regen but it was a little hard to tell.

tbh im surprised they're increasing base regen or something as well, i don't like that mana is a wasted stat on most heroes and on the rest wasted past the first item you get it on bar a very few exceptions (anivia) | ||

i'm p sure melee champs need the armor/health even more than ranged champs do seeing as they have to close the gap before they can kill a creep with nerfs to vet scars and HP quints too i really really doubt boots first is gonna be viable on nearly anyone, regrowth or meki are gonna pretty niche cases too imo | ||

On topic: I'll still stand by doran's shield on most characters.. depending on how hard my mana runes are hit, I may have to make break down and start with the meki opening I hate so much. The other option being to build Soul Shroud as my first item on everyone, which I will look in to. | ||

I think the Doran's and SoS change will make Teleport even more attractive. Since you don't really have to worry about early dragon fights that much anymore you can use it for a quick shop at ~4 minutes, making you much safer against most ganks. | ||
