they definately wern't all in that ELO range. i Queue with my bro / new friends who are about lvl 6-10 atm, and yeah, they do face us against lvl 30's, but they also give some realllllly shitty people on their team as well... if your gonna play with newbs, your playing against atleast some noobs as well, just go snowball and exploit the little ones imoimo

checked all of theirs solo queues, they were all 1650-1953. The 1953 elo ashe was crazy good.
Me and my friends are 1400-1600 elo and then the lvl 12.

On EU LiquidParty we once had a 5-man normal premade and we were all +100-150 wins or so and we faced lvl 19-26 guys who were reallly bad.
I think if you're the only 2 5-man premades queuing at the time you just get matched together regardless.

Normal queue elo isn't connected to ranked elo. Most players that only play ranked have extremely low normal rating (especially if all they use normal for is trolling/testing random stuff).

my favorite part about solo queue is the endgame, when all your towers are down and you need to tighten up the hatch for a last push by the other team, ace them, and counterpush. the creeps are going to push to your base, and yet, your corki/warwick/kennen feels the need to meet the creeps where your second mid tower used to be so he can kill them out there. why? again, the creeps are going to push to your base. you're not losing experience or gold as they kill your creeps, but i see it again and again. then of course the other team just comes out of your jungle, 5v1's the guy and your janna runs in to save him and she dies too then they just pack your shit in 5v3 and towerdive you and end it.
i would say that happens in at least 40% of my lategames, regardless of me telling my teammates not to leave the base and why

LoL could be so much more of an esport if it actually had spectatormode and replays, I mean just look at these epic matches we're missing..CEVO match - CLG vs Master of LoLs team and theyre not even recording it so people will never see this shit :C

Early game we were thrashing but late game they ALL took Warmog's (Mord had two), went full defensive items and just fucking ran around stomping us because soon as we managed to get one close to dead they get Zil ult'd.

The best 5's ranked that we've ever played.
Me, Carnivorous Sheep, KJH, Tempest, and Zyxt vs. 5 randos.
By 20 minutes, we're down 6 kills (8-14) but up 2 dragons. Not exactly looking good, considering kass is 6-1 with mejais.
AND THEN...the lag.
I think everyone had this during the time period, but the game started to lag insanely hard. people were dcing and reconnecting like crazy, but we figured out how we could, well, sort of figure out what was going on. The HP/MP would tell us when our spells cast and we took damage, it just didn't update on the screen. So, while the enemy team was dazed and confused, we picked up 5 kills, 3 dragons, 4 towers,and baron. Twice. All the while, they were yelling at all chat, saying that we should surrender, that we were faking lag (we weren't, i took dragon, red and blue without seeing what i was doing, then the screen moonwalked me for like a minute, lol), that we were awful, blah, blah, blah
Their rage was possibly the tastiest thing I've ever experienced.
