Shikyo is right, blue is generally better on Kass and a bait is extremely risky when people are decent and you are Yi. What's on the opposing standpoint is a yi that takes blue buff nonstop because no one ever takes it or mentions they need it. In that case, you ask them. You are Yi, what are you going to do with a blue buff? If after you asked and no one wanted it then yeah, sure, but otherwise? Meh.

If you're jungling and you know a teammate can make better use of the blue buff than you, you should be voluntarily giving it up by the third spawn. Of course, if you think your Anivia/Kassadin/Heimer/whoever is just going to feed it to the other team, then you keep it to yourself.

I also wanted to try triple d-ring into lichbane poppy with AP quint/blues, since I can see that work as well.
Actually I've seen this build as well, as it's nasty as fuck. I (and everyone else I was playing with) laughed at the Poppy because of the triple P-Stone and he ended up raping the shit out of us... ended up doing something like Locket/Reverie. With Locket gone now I'm not sure it's as effective, but yeah, I'd have to be back this up as "surprisingly effective."

Again, no reason not to build the good gimmegold items instead, if you need hp regen get strength of spirit and expanded mind. Turn a hog into randuims later and kage's pick into DFG and there's already 2 amazing items on poppy and like 85% cdr

Guh, I can explain to you why it works out but I hafta go T_T I'll try to remember to reply to you <3
Edit: It's mostly dealing with her major shortcomings, such as survivability, farming speed, etc. the mana regen helps her clear jungle creep really fast without being short on mana entering combat, etc.
Locket is gone, this is the major reason why I'm not sure it works anymore, but in conjunction with Locket and Reverie she ended up having massive CDR and HP and was almost unkillable. This along with her Q DPS made her absurd.
Again, Locket is gone, not sure how much I'd recommend the build anymore (the mana regen is still fantastic) but yeah.
Hopping off.
Edit: Oop, no my ride's not here yet. YES STILL TIME TO TALK.
The other major issue for Poppy, esp during laning is that she has very little laning power if she gets beat off the creep, kind of like Taric. The HP regen is sickening in that regard - as peoples' sustained damage goes up, so does (ideally) her regen, and thus she becomes very difficult to harass down, which in turn assists her farming speed, and she's definitely one of the strongest heroes in the game when farmed.
The added bonus is that due to the regen on both HP and Mana she becomes able to "trade barbs" ie. EQ you and get the upperhand from the exchange.
Again, the bottleneck (personally) is that Locket is gone, so I don't know what you need THREE p-stones for (and I don't know that it'd work as well without hitting three) so I think at the moment it's relatively weak late-game, but before it was quite nasty giving her like 20% CDR + lots of farm + early laning strength.
Edit: The issue with other gold items is that... 1) As any Veigar/Ryze/etc. player can attest, Kage is nice, but doesn't help you lane/live. You want it fast for the gold but it really doesn't help you at all. It's why you rarely see anyone make it, except for DFG, and even then only when they're absolutely sure they're safe. 2) HoG is nice but doesn't give you sustainability. Ask any jungling Amumu - HoG is nice but you still drop HP as you jungle. 3) NC on Avarice.

So I think I'm gonna be a fanboy and buy the morgana, akali, and kayle shirts.

Was playing a game as Yi (I'm not level 30 yet, so I'm bad and the ones I'm playing against are bad) and we had Kassadin in our team, he was our carry something he felt the need to tell everyone else every 3 minutes or so. I was regularly picking up the blue buff because I have hard time as hell playing Yi without it Kassadin snapped and went "I'M THE CARRY DO YOU UNDERSTAND, THE BLUE BUFF IS MINE" even though he had never picked it up before and I was at about my 25th of them. "I'M GOING TO AFK REST OF THE GAME, FUCKING KIDS" (oh the irony).
So he went AFK for about 10 seconds after raging, when I said that the best way to deal with a tantrum is just to ignore it.
For the rest of the game I played the bait, and it was hillarious to see Kassadin refuse to see it as a viable stratergy (Basicly just go "Look at me I'm a free kill Yi" and then have the rest of their team chase you all over the map into an ambush) After acing the other team 3 times Kassadin called me a noob and ignored me for not being serious.
wow, man, no, you failed. In pub games you have to actively guide people to the correct decision (which in this case is having kassadin, the best blue character in the game, pick up the buff).
If you're so passive people have to ask you to make the right play instead of the other way around you are going to be blaming your teammates for losses that were really yours for as long as you play this game.

The Morgana shirt IS pretty bad ass.

That is an awesome passive... o_o

I'm going to wait until people suck shit with her skillshots, and use her net to try to get kills instead of escaping, then start maining her when they all decide she's underpowered.
|
also, no, that passive is essentially a 50% / 8 = 6.25% (12.5% if you sit in a bush lolololol) increase in autoattack damage. on a character with no abilities that increase auto damage.
|
Oh look, an ultimate that's almost identical to Assassinate from DotA. That's surprising ...

Teemo shirt looks awesome.
Also, the recoil on cait's E adds a lot of character imo (i wonder if it's enough to knock her over a wall >.>) I wish the same could be said for her model. Who knows, maybe all sharpshooters in runeterra wear tophats and miniskirts.

Don't forget the high heels. Even Janna wears high heels and she doesn't even walk or need them to look taller....

Is it? Isn't it basically the same as Yi's, but worse?
150% every 8 attacks vs 200% every 7 attacks (and double-on hit procs).
