Do you add the ad and ap damage or just pick the highest on skills that benefit from both?

There's also no rule that forces you to take a support, nor is there a rule that enforces you to have duo bot instead of top, nor is there a rule that enforces you to sound like a douche while responding.

Ok I'll be a bit more elaborate why "lvl 11 mage is better than lvl 11 carry" is nonsense: Corki, Ashe, Kog Maw, Tristana, Cait, Ezreal all have quite the respectable lvl 11 burst. 425 AoE damage on Ashe Arrow is no joke. A rank 2 Big One HURTS. The small advantage you might get from getting solo XP and farm on a ranged DPS might be just what you need against a Singed or Udyr, while a mage might still not do enough against those. Against a team of Cho, Malz, Soraka etc, mages are doomed. Silenced into oblivion.
The point is: under "normal" circumstances, it might be desireable to have casters in solo lanes. Sometimes though, you want someone else there.
And now going back to the original question, having a caster + support bottom lane: This never excluded also having casters mid and/or top. Even if what you said was true, it had no relevance in this case.
Here's also why I don't like statements like yours: Precisely because of these vast overgeneralizations people get stuck in "metagames" and avoid any sort of logic thinking about things that could be done better. I pretty much moved from EU to US because it was impossible to play anything other than bottom lane with ranged ADs even when that was just utter nonsense with the current picks.

Generally, I agree with JackDino on this matter. I don't think there's anymore reason to be all up in his shit about it...
|
I always figured the reason you want the mage solo is that they absolutely crush the midgame with ganks towerdives and jungle invasions that ranged ad can't really do since they don't have the burst damage or crowd control.
If you can have a mage crush their bot lane I don't see any reason not so have another mage and bruiser or double bruiser solo and just win the game before their ranged carry gets to be that useful. Or just have a ranged ad solo but I've never really been a big fan of that considering how easily they are killed if their overall team wasn't such a big threat that's it's hard to go for the ranged ad.

I got my first ever leave today, due to power outage in the middle of the game... electrics company real terror.

Anyone know whether the rewards are likely to be based off your current or top rating ?
|
In most games it is based on current rating when a season ends.
|
I just realised my current ELO (1139, dropped a bunch from yesterday's shitfest with my friend) is just a reorganisation of my top ELO that I had yesterday (1391). Thought it was pretty funny.
Also, Maokai going 8/0 against a Cass (and a fiddlesticks, but he is irrelivant atm) lane. Cassieopia free week, amiright?

No one knows, but top rating would be kinda silly in a 1+ year long season.

lol, I like how riot prolongs their season because they do not have the capacity to store all the info yet for ladder. Just buying time, but ranked will probably last at least 6 months more.

If I had to guess, they want to launch season 2 with a big feature (probably obs and/or replays) and are just buying time until said feature is completed.

I had this info a pretty long time before they announced that they would be prolonging it from scy. He told me this was credible information from riot employees. 6 months is just my personal estimate, but I think it's going to take a while.

Stop making me tempted to actually try to raise my rating in solo q :[

You get a cool prize. What's better than that. I want to be platinum=(. Bet they get a platinum limited skin, that only around 50 or so people will get.

Reidan too busy reading homo slashfics in my thread to win go4lols true story.
