Here, we catch them 5v1, and I'm so awesome that I spike this guy down from full hp to zero, with the help of my super awesome skills. Then they trickle in like Lemmings and I nuke them one at a time, 1v1v1v1v1 no problem. And then a 1/4 hp enemy tries to run through me, and I kill him because this hero is so awesome.

So, something just occurred to me.

Leona has 3 AP scaling AoE nukes, and a single target stun that had good Sheen synergy.

Does this not scream "AP carry" to anyone else?
