The tournament is a couple hours away and I didn't see a discussion thread, so I made this post for us to talk about the tournament.
Team Liquid, Gamers2, Navi, and Roccat will be participating. TL will be defending back to back DreamHack titles.
The bracket can be found here http://wiki.teamliquid.net/heroes/DreamHack_2015/Valencia
First match between Navi and Gamers2 should start in about 2 hrs from this post.
Stream will be here http://www.twitch.tv/dreamhackheroes

Liquid lost to Navi 3-1 in the Stormgrounds tournament about three days ago. So, I think Liquid is vulnerable of getting dethroned. However, Liquid could have been saving their strats for Valencia. Only time will tell.
Yeah, this is gonna be interesting. Navi could win it but I still think Liquid is better right now and they are playing in Spain so we'll see what happens.
Downtime in Hero is getting pretty ridiculous this day I swear there is 10 minutes break in between each games. Well hopefully they solve whatever problems they had on hand!
In G2 vs Navi: G2 is using a Nova comp (!) with success (!!) How in the world is this happening?
G2 with a Nova comp takes game one over Navi. G2 seems to have Navi's number at dreamhacks.

I'm not really interested in Hots ... I just want to the some old starcraft boys battle it out in TL vs Roccat :D
EU meta is a little too anti-aggro compared to the other region for sure.
Great group of commentators and analysts. I like their chemistry.

CAN I GET SOME TEAMLIQUID HYPE!!
TL vs Roccat is about to kick off.

Hard game for TL they are playing against a combined force of 9 times EPS Champions
I hope they change it in the future to make the draft a part of the production, it's such an integral part to strategy that you really lose out by not seeing it in real time.
EDIT: There they go!

GAME 1 on Garden of Terror
Team Liquid: Triple Specialist w/ Nazeebo, Zagara, Tyrael, Malfurion, and TLV Team Roccat: Johanna, Jaina, Falstad, Tyrande, and Uther
I really want to see how the Vikings are played here, especially since they've been gutted.
EDIT:
Lessons so far:
-- Specialist advantage in the early game, if your team knows how to make the right decisions to take advantage of it, is quite powerful. Malfurion even got the moonier talent to do extra damage against minions, even with three specialists.
-- It looked like TLV were bunched together for the early game, then split out around level 7/10 to get a further xp advantage.
-- While the TF of Roccat appears strong, for the majority of the game, TL has been able to take TF at an advantage and the damage of specialists, along with their ability to self-peel heroes away (Nazeebo's spiders or Zagara's hydrants)
Man I got flamed so hard for picking a second specialist a few days ago, now TL does it as well.
I'm suprised how Roccat is not dead yet
why is game sounds so low? makes it so hard to get excited about anything when you cant hear anything.
Hmm does Roccat have stronger lategame?
Emphatic win by TL. One tower left for Roccat when the core went down, with only one of TL's own towers down.

It's the tradeoff you make with Vikings. Early game xp soak is crazy high (added by the fact TL goes Zagara) but they contribute a lot less in late game teamfights.

Somewhat depressing Though going by the twitch chat, I think world war three just broke out?

Dunno what happened except for the fact that TL was rolling G2 in game one before the stream died and TL still ended up winning that game, so I'm assuming everything's going according to plan.
Game 2, TL going double healer with Uther + Rehgar!
And unsurprisingly, TL goes undefeated through to the Grand Finals lol
Wiki says TL played without a tank first game. Is the setup from this thread correct?

wow that was kinda anticlimatic

Awesome to see Heyoka casting! But I'm a little disappointed with the caster line up in general.
The viewership for one of the bigger offline tournaments is a bit depressing. I think the highest we hit today was 10k. I hope we can at least reach 20k for the finals.

Is this really one of the bigger ones? It's a very small invited team lineup.

I can't remember the last time I saw Azmo win in comp play
Dang. Arthas seems so strong on Tomb. I never even gave him a second thought on that map.
Commercial for Vain Glory, a touchscreen MOBA... lol.
Oh god 50+ gem Arthas dying with no one able to collect them
So, does this mean gamers2 have been dethroned from their second best status in Europe?
TL will bitch slap them into next week during the finals, I'm confident of this! Sorry navi fans

Least bold prediction of the year award goes to.......
Last time they competed Navi beat Liquid 3-1, I wouldn't say predicting a TL win is too bold...especially since Navi is also carrying the momentum of defeating their three-time nemesis in Gamers2.

Azmo is so sick

Yeah baby, if he gets those stacks up - taste for blood, for example with jo, then he's a monster late game.
TL 3-1, their smack talk was way better and I'm sure they've prepared not just for this tournament, but for navi.
Liquid fighting! Let's go GranPKT! Hoping for some close and exciting games still.
blackscorp!!!! wow luci lost some weight
I'm gonna be bold and predict 3-0 for Liquid. Let's go!
Navi forced into the LiLi pick. Liquid going for the double healers Malfurion and Uther.

Weird draft from both sides, not standard that's for sure.
What? They're playing up to five of these matches? Jesus Christ.
Liquid won at the pick and ban phase. It was pretty much over after Navi was forced into LiLi.
I wonder what Vortix's APM might be whilst playing Vikings? Might he have 4 camera groups (for the lanes) And spamming like a mad man between them whilst poking with Eric & the Fatty / Ranged dude (forget their correct names!). Or even though he could go StarCraft APM mode.. he doesn't need too?
Shame on Na'vi for playing like a bunch of pussies on BHB. No excuse for losing the game like this.
awww I missed a Nova game darn.
Oh wow Tyrael is pretty good at annoying Azmodan with his stacking.
Also congrats TL
Gratz TL for winning at Dreamhack!
Brutal display from TL. :-)
TL domination was like a good premade playing a random solo queue quick match team.
i wonder how is the korean scene, TL looks unstopable with their current results
Another dominant performance. Did not seem close...
GJ!!! :D
Undefeated, TL too strong ^^ Congrats!

Isn't KR considered the worst between NA/EU/KR? Until we have real international play I'm not sure anyone knows for sure, though.
yeah TL just smashed it. The cheering for them at the venue were pretty real.
Can't say I much enjoyed watching that tournament, the only decent series was the second Na'Vi vs. G2 one. And I really can't call it better than decent, since it wasn't anything special.

I feel as though Blizzard is forcing Heroes too much to become an e-sport. If it has that potential then so be it. Maybe Blizzard is making Heroes like Sc2 a video game made to be an e-sport. Maybe they had this mentality during development.

I'm not convinced there's any other option for a blizzard moba, becoming a successful esport is a key factor for longevity of any exclusively online game of this nature these days, and its success will ultimately be judged by this, despite it being great fun to play regardless.
