EPTNot really a rant, but a strange game. Today I get matched vs the occasionnal r1 + r15 pair. Turns out the r1 was 4000 MMR but he got a noob Raynor AND his r15 friend (who was so-so). We crushed them very hard. It was fun to wreck a 4k MMR guy (he still did great but he was in no way impressive) but really, he deserved it for queuing with his r15 friend.

The last one was awesome: - KT takes Mana Addict, says "guys it's over I took the wrong talent we lost". WTF. - Rehgar let's Diablo (my friend) die on our door without healing, and then says "sorry I was thinking of something else, I'm sleepy". WTF again. - Nazeebo was 2 weeks into the game. WTF forever. We managed to win because we rarely loose as Diablo + Nova but still. WTF. | ||

Just why? If I win, it's a boring stomp. If I lose, I have teammates who don't listen and are impossible to carry. I have more than 2000 quickmatches and I upload every single game, are there really just no decent players in qm ever? I don't want to play HL and the same picks all the time z_z | ||

Got reported by Johanna for calmly explaining this, don't even know why (I have little time for heroes in my life so I don't fight lost QMs). Fortunately we lost in 11 minutes (I tried to play at first then I fed). Playing HL, on Shrines. Our 1st pick gets Hammer. Ok it's probably the worst 1st pick in the game far ahead Abathur/Illidan/Nova, so I tell him "I hope you're good because they'll take 5 heroes to counter you (they did)". He says "Dunno I haven't played in ages.". So I try to make the team play for hammer, and to put a strategy. Believe me or not he didn't siege once in the first 6 or 7 minutes. I typed "siege" at least 20 times during the game, and tried to explain him to siege behind a wall but he never did. In the whole game in never took a good position. He didn't know he could use thrusters sieged so died all the time. We took 2 warriors for him he just had to siege behind a wall and wait for GG. | ||

 My HL placements: Very good draft, players play like shit (Sonya dieing 12 times in 10 minutes) Ok draft, players still play like shit (Nazeebo as Anti-Hammer pick, says is he is really good vs her, dies a lot and doesn't do shit) Bad draft, players disconnect/ leave / GG from the start How am i suppose to get R1 like this??? It wasn't so bad a year ago, but now it seems standards have risen and a lot of people own and know how to play a lot more heroes (obviously, with a whole extra year of experience and gold). ETC, Artanis, Sonya Zagara, Sylvanas Li Li, Malfurion, Rehgar Jaina, Falstad, Valla, Raynor Kerrigan, Illidan I'd never ever pick Kerrigan/Illidan. No idea what I'm doing with them. ETC is my go-to tank, though he's only level 5 lol, not great at the other two. Don't know how to play Rehgar. So, pretty pitiful selection after that. Just gotta do 20 placement matches to get this reward. I better place rank 1... I hope it's possible to place rank 1. | ||

First immo is absolutely useless and is very easily taken down, it was a 4v4 and it's more important for me to gather stacks and xp from lane with globe build than join in. 2nd immo they go in and die before the shrine has even started, but of course it's my fault for not being there and instead trying to get us lv 10 along with stacks. Team proceeds to agree game is lost because azmo no teamplay and just solo and they start intentionally throwing the game. We proceed to lose a game that we had a perfectly fine chance at winning because team was moronic and doesn't 1) Understand basics of the game 2) Understand how to play Azmodan 3) possess more qualities than those of a whiny kid | ||

We just had a game where we had a silenced first pick Azmo, who didn't even go for stack build in the end, and lost handily because of it. He's just not a hero you can pick whenever you like imo. | ||

Highest you can place is rank 5, but if your MMR is high enough, you will get to rank 1 after just a few games with the benefit of skill points. | ||

Hopefully I get a win streak after placing to make it quick and painless. I've been matching with all rank 1's since my first placement match and have won >50% so it shouldn't be that bad in any case. I've got time. This is not the thread to be positive in though. So I guess I'll QQ that I can't place rank 1 even in my circumstance where it makes no sense for me to not be rank 1. I could probably just pick up Muradin and copy a build from hotslogs to be a little safer on tank selection. | ||

Also fuck QM comps, sometimes its just actually impossible to win between facing premades vs. your team of randoms and shit like pure anti-AA builds vs. literally a team of nothing but auto attackers. :D | ||
