Hero League and Quick Play are the same thing except for draft mode versus pre-select and a number next to your name. Internally they both have MMR that if you care about you can find on HotsLog or heroes.gg or whatnot (Hero League won't actually show you your MMR either just like all Blizzard games). That said, I understand that people want to play where all the 'good' players are, but is it really that hard to get 10 heroes? I've been playing for just over a month and hit level 20. Doesn't seem like I've been power gaming and I have over 20k gold so far (haven't bought a hero yet, free rotation is enough for me until I actually need them). This is with 3 heroes at 5+ too. Gold'll be tight to get a 'good' set of 10 heroes by the time I'm level 30, but so maybe it's time to grind some more hero's to 5+. Edit: Mistyped my gold amount, changes things a bit lol. | ||

It's the only thing that matter for people who want a more competitive environment to play in. Draft mode makes the game a lot more competitive since you're able to choose your team comp and also counter pick as opposed to casual where you get mix with other people who picked random heroes and where you're often stuck with a bad team comp vs a better one and you often have no chances of winning (given that people skills are similar). So yeah, calling it casual or non-competitive is 100% accurate. | ||
