Eh, I don't think the removal of resurgence is that big of a nerf on the tanks. Yeah, it's stupidly broken ability, but it's the rest of the tanks' kits that determine whether they're OP or not. Take Arthas for example. Let's not pretend that he only got strong when he got resurgence at level 20. He has a bullshit kit that has high sustain and fairly high damage which lets him shit on teams with near impunity in teamfights. The only thing he doesn't have is a dash, which he doesn't really need with all of his slows and roots.

Also, removing resurgence from Tassadar is basically meaningless. Twilight archon was always the better pick.

Arthas is easily kiteable. Against a disengage/kite heavy team (Brightwing, Valla, Zeratul, etc.), he can get whittled down enough to start a fight. If he pops his ult before the engage, it's usually easy to outlast it. This doesn't help if your team is behind and they're pushing you hard, though, and I think he's quite possibly strongest on Mines for that simple reason.

Also, it is very vulnerable to stuns because he is melee and needs to heal himself cause he isn't one of the warriors with highest health pool, its just that he heals himself a lot.

To be honest, as an Arthas player myself, i don't want him to get nerfed, i think in my biased point of view, that he is in a sweet spot, and other warriors or heroes should be buffed/reworked to be of similar strenght. For example, tychus is undeniably strong, and altough i think they should nerf his survability, i don't think it needs to be changed that much more. Heroes like valla, zeratul and tassadar are also good heroes that don't need changes i think, they are perfect, good but not imba.

Altough to be honest it does surprise me Blizzard hasnt nerfed neither arthas or tychus, i wonder if they know something that we don't, or maybe they are heroes that are only pretty good at competitive play, but not on most of the ladder?

I don't see Arthas as being "easily kiteable." The range on his root is fairly long. If you mess up, you're fucked. If any one of Arthas's teammates land a stun or a root, you're fucked. And yeah, if you play someone like Zeratul, you can retreat from Arthas and kite him all day long. The problem, though, is that often times you have to engage -- particularly when fighting over objectives. What then? There's no beating around the bush that Arthas is very strong -- probably too strong. And I don't think that his strength is attributable to "good play" from high level players. Arthas isn't Zeratul. He is far easier to play. Honestly, I'd be happy with removing envenom and then looking at lowering some of the damage of his other abilities by marginal amounts.

With the Anub'arak bug fixed Arthas has a counter removed. With Muradins health regen fixed and Chen nerfed Arthas will be even more popular than up until now.

Well arthas would be fine if he didn't have envenom. At least he won't have resurgence any more... Chen barely touched, meh, the brew spam is really damn annoying. Tychus buffed... oh well at least they didn't nerf my beloved brightwing.

At least now we will be able to see who has good lvl 20 talents since resurgence is gone. Chen and tychus will probably be the most coveted picks, Uther too... Will we be able to swap heroes in ranked games ? Like for example I want to first pick tychus but can't play him... that could be a problem

Removing evenom and decreasing Artha's dmg is fine as long as you buff his HP. Yes, then we get another Chen, ETC like hero.

Observations from watching a stream: Thrall looks strong. Chain lightning adds a charge for the self heal for each target hit and the amount is substantial (about 800 on lvl20). Also Sundering seems more responsive than for example Rain of Vengeance.

I bought thrall, this are my first impressions after coop games.

He. is. Awesome.

Has pretty good health to be an assasin, has one ability that kind of is a escape, but is useful to chase too cause it makes you move faster. Has a little root as a skillshot, but i think its pretty good cause it can hit a lot of targets in a straight line. Its good because it doesn't matter if it hits a minion first, if it hits a hero, it will root him.

Has a good sustain in his passive and can be increased through talents.

Has good burst, but obviously not as much as nova, its more of a sustain assasin, but can deal damage pretty fast.

TL;DR: Thrall is imba as fuck.

Hm... wondering what I'm gonna pick as level 20 talent as Chen. His level 20 ult seems rather weak and with Resurgence gone, I don't know if it's worth picking :-?

Did they reset MMR? I just played my first versus game as Thrall and fucking destroyed the other team almost singlehandedly. Thrall is sooooooooo strong.

ranked uses a different MMR than versus, so everyone starts from 0.
