Even knowing nothing about the Heroes matchmaker, I would say it's extremely unlikely in any matchmaking system that you start everyone out at 0. You want to start them where they have room to spread out upward and downward, so closer to the middle of the road. Unless you meant 0 as in "origin" which is technically correct =)

So, did they let new ppl in or is it still the same? Have been playing for a while around 2500-2800 ELO (hotslog) hoping some friends will get invited

The one nice thing about Thrall's design is that there will be some interesting choices to make between chain lightning and windfury builds. I suspect that windury does more damage, but that chain lightning is better for poke comps. Hopefully chain lightning isn't better in all circumstances.

Just played a game with Li Li. Her Kung Fu Hustle talent makes her feel really strong while Fast Feet is active.
Edit: Dammit. Accidentally just left while a draft was going on due to a misclick. I wish they would add some kinda confirmation window that asks if you're sure you wanna leave.

I don't know why people think that throwing the game is not anyworse than being afk. For example i had a game where 1 person was afk for, 1-2 minutes? which is bad obviously, but then one guy said that we should just let them win, and altough sometimes he helped the team, there was moments where he sat at the hall of storms doing nothing.
Being AFK is wrong, but who knows what happened, could be an emergency, his dog died, the phone rang and there was no one at home, whatever. But losing the game on purpouse? And i've had a lot of games where people have that mindset.

I have a hard time believing that throwing a game is any faster than just playing it out. At least in the majority of times, I had a pair of 30+ minute games last night that were incredibly back and forth (including Haunted Mines, they kept getting camps and slight golem leads, but I had MULE and we all-killed them a few key times to catch back up). But those back and forth games were just, so much fun.

So just played 4 games, went 2-2 and sitting very close to ranking up to 48. It's gonna be a long ride to the high ranks :x
Strangely, I lost the first game, won the 2nd and ranked up. 200 rank points! lost the 3rd but didn't derank and 4th gave me enough points to almost rank. I suspect a # of points / rank will be listed by someone soon enough.

New Falstad is weird. The lvl 1 Hammer range talent is way too good to pass up, but makes it somewhat awkward to aim on the rebound given just how long it takes to complete it's animation now. Synergizes well with the "more damage while boomarang is out" talent, though it contends with BOOMarang for burst damage potential.
New ult does 0 damage and only acts as a pseudo CC or disengage, I really don't like it that much unless you build a comp around it.

how is your experience with ranked? Mine has been pretty random.
First games all cool, then some people ragin, then some people making bad choices like they were just started, and some complete stoms the other team cant even compete.

The main difference for me solo queuing is that more people are actually using pings/chat. Skill variance is still pretty large, but that should settle eventually once I grind out enough games. I had one guy tell me that NOT dying doesn't equate to playing well and proceeded to flame us to never play ranked again. I think he was just mad because he was feeding :D
Picking phase is kinda interesting in the sense that not everyone has every kind of hero, so I've been asking if anyone has and wants to play healer, which pretty much leads to me picking Lili/malf/reghar. Supports still get no love as usual Otherwise everyone seems to be kinda on the same page to role spread.

but i had people pick abathur on cursed hollow and even chosing his new ult. Abathur sucks on cursed hollow, and his new ult sucks there too. A lot of people pick heroes like diablo, and when i get to the game they start saying "nah its gg they are way better tahn us"in the first like 6-7 mins.
But then again, i've played with and against people like make some awesome plays.
I tought i would be excent on this kind of thing playing ranked, but looks like if i want any decent winrate i will have to play with freinds, until this stabilizes at least.

So if you search ranked the game doesn't maximize/blink when the draft starts. I wonder how badly I screwed my team by randoming ^_^

there is a sea server, it's located in singapore. are you playing on the EU client?
anyways, li li is not-so-bad now if you take all the cloud serpent enhancing talents and just go super turret mode with them. that's +50% duration, heal on hit, bounce on hit, and duplicate on self when cast on allies.
tyrael got hit by pretty hard by resurgence removal which makes me sad. his other 20 talent options are incredibly meh. stitches on the other hand has great level 20 options (blink for gorge builds and upgraded bile for bile builds). arthas's ghoul upgrades are actually pretty shitty compared to resurgence so overall i'd say stitches got the biggest relative buff from the removal of resurgence.
haven't tried thrall but he seems good

I've had a rough start to the ranked game play so far. Had 4 games with AFK's on my team in first 10 games. Beyond that, I am having difficulty adjusting to the level of play of the great unwashed again. Zeratul is definitely the way to go for newb stomping to rank up.

Yeah, the fact that the game doesn't tells you when it founds a match (some people tab to their browser or wahtever, and the game on drafted doesn't swith or light ups or anything), makes people more prone to AFK, also some chose their hero, and tab, and they don't notice when the game starts.

haven't tried thrall but he seems good I'm not sure. Im just using the client that comes with diablo 3. On d3 I play on Americas and Sea. But when log in in the hots I only see us,kr and eu though. Are you also on sea? What's your ping?

Hero league is very toxic on solo queu. I've had 2 games where someone on the team was causing drama before the gates opened by criticizing hero choices, etc. I had one game where a guy quit (sat in base and kept chatting about the game being over) after we lost the first tribute but were even on levels. Honestly just makes me want to team q only....
