I really hate that map.
Blackheart's Bay is the worst. At least on Mines if your team is stupid you end up losing in 10minutes or the other team can throw and you can easily win the game.

because it changes weekly.. what if you own 3 heroes and that week the 7 free heroes are all different.. so that week uve 10 heroes to ladder.. but then next week 3 of the 7 free heroes you already own.. so now you only have 7 heroes and cant play ranked.. so thats why you have to own 10

Why would you put Abathur in the trash mob tier? Sure, if you only consider his strength in hand-to-hand combat -- that's one thing, but he is THE master of evolution and mutations. He eats larva for breakfast and mutates wings on to your ass for dinner. He is AT LEAST super powerful. And you put him on the same power level as... some murloc?
Tassadar should be up there too.

5. Lots of cheap heroes puts more stress on Blizzard to release heroes quickly otherwise people will run out of things to spend gold on. The entire point of a F2P model is for that threshold to be hard to achieve. Even as is, you make around ~14k gold a month casually. Assuming Blizzard releases one max price hero a month, you will earn enough gold to eventually buy every hero but it will take time. If the max hero price was lower, people would complete their rosters much faster and there would be less incentive to play the game as much. If the max hero price is lower but Blizzard makes up for it by releasing more heroes, that just means they exponentially increase their own workload and risk compromising the quality of the heroes. By that logic, no one would play dota because all heroes are unlocked.
Well you can accumulate battle points to unlock hats, so there's something that can be grinded. Most gamers nowadays need *something* to work towards (be it actual game features like heroes or purely cosmetic items) or else they don't have any incentives to play. Go check out the Guild Wars 2 reddit and see how much they whine about lack of stuff to do since Anet doesn't crank out expansions like Blizzard does to WoW.

makes sense, but i still want to emphasize that their business model sucks :D

Well, Valve removed the drop on level up system some time ago, so even that is out. You just get a set from time to time.

I can easily afford 10 heroes with gold, but I've been playing for 3 months... I wonder how can they compete with estabilished games of the same genre (sort of) with a much more expensive model. Doesn't make much sense to me.
I don't think it's much more expensive than LoL. You need 16 Heroes in LoL to play ranked. Of course you'll have these 16 heroes when you reach level 30 - but that's mainly the case because it takes ages to reach level 30 without any real money investment. ... and then there are runes. And a champion for 6300 RP is about 7.5$, which is less than in Heroes of the Storm, but in contrast to LoL you can spend all your gold received ingame for Heroes. I'd say these two business models are about even, tbh.

Interestingly, my worst map by far is apparently Cursed Hollow. I have a 46% win percentage on it, and all of my other maps are over 57%. It was down at 40% just a couple days ago, too. Given how much Zeratul I play, I'd have thought that my worst map was Haunted Mines just because it is a weak map for him.

Cursed is easy if you can convince your team to not throw at golems/tribute. Eventually the other team will attack a golem/tribute 2v5 and you'll get a huge advantage.
You also need to make sure they don't do the stupid play of taking the enemy golem while your own golem is up. I'm going to make up a percent and say this is the wrong play in 99% of cases.

Trash Mob Tier Abathur Murky Wow, talk about disproportional representation. I really hope some D1/2 characters are in the pipeline. It seems every single thread of wanted characters ends up with 20 more wow characters :-\
|
Female Crusader art / model has been shown and iirc they've mentioned Monk and Wizard are in the pipeline too. If we get one of each gender for the D3 heroes (hopefully it's not a skin) then that'll be a ton of Diablo heroes. I'm not sure the D1 heroes have enough unique flavor to them, but a Necromancer or Druid would be pretty cool to see. I think an Assassin could be distinct enough to put into the game too.
Also to be fair a lot of what you call WoW characters are better called WC3 characters like Falstad, Chen and Muradin. Haven't tried Illidan yet, but I suspect he's more of a WC3 / WoW hybrid like Malfurion and Tyrande are. I know you said wish list, but same principal like with Rexxar.
|
Hmm nope I've seen a lot of requests for diablo characters. Also please.... Warcraft is not only WoW. We need more warcraft2 characters
But it looks like Blizzard is putting their money on what most younger people know aka : stacraft2, WoW and diablo3
Look at the starcraft characters all of them appear in sc2 and only 5 in sc:bw. Diablo characters all appear in diablo3 and only tyrael and diablo appeared in previous games. Warcraft characters are all from warcraft3 or wow.
|
I'm sure that there will be more WC1 / WC2 heroes eventually. Blizzard is just timing their hero releases with upcoming products. I'd be shocked if we didn't see Lothar when the Warcraft movie comes out. Same deal with Artanis and LotV. Hell, Artanis may be a free hero for those that buy the LotV campaign (like with Valla and RoS). As for SC1/BW heroes, there aren't too many left to add. Fenix is an obvious addition, but beyond that, there aren't too many who would make sense. Duke is probably redundant with Hammer already in the game and Warhol (or whatever his name is) coming. Mengsk is a possibility, but I'm not sure what his design hook would be.
|
Warcraft 3 > all .. only playing with Arthas.. the best hero.. the only hero.
|
I don't think I could play Fenix, his voice sounds like the narrator orc or w/e in Warcraft 1/2.

From elite warrior to narrator to a grunt, Fenix's reincarnations aren't going well is it.
And I hope that mana burn skills/talents are added, to new heroes and maybe some of the current ones.
|
I'm shocked that I didn't notice that Aldaris is also Colonel Campbell.
As for mana burn, I'm kinda torn on it being included. It has always been a problematic skill for balance purposes.
