I've run into a few really good Gazlowe's recently, and they've been really impressive to watch. Of course, most people who play him are absolutely dogshit and go 1-9 or something retarded like that.

So to play ranked mode (Hero League), you have to own 10 heroes. I'm sure a lot of people are going to go apeshit over this.

My main concern about this Ranking system taken from Hearthstone.. is that in hearthstone you play against people of same rank... but in here they say you will have MMR that is saved between seasons and that you play against people with same MMR.. wouldnt this be abused by like i can lose lot of games in a season to have low mmr so then i can farm ranks in next season ?, or i do really well one season have high rank and high mmr, then season reset comes i start with crap rank but still have high mmr, wont it make it harder to rank up? i dont understand how this Ranks + MMR thing will work..

Hearthstone already uses MMR. It is only used at the top end of the ranking though.

So if you dodge a ranked draft, does that give incentive to just feed your next normal game? obv it's a time penalty but may have impact on the normal games.

It was know since Blizzcon that you would need ten heroes. Also i will buy Thrall first week,, i don't care paying 5k more, he looks awesome.
The MMR/rank thing will be weird, i hoe it doesn't screw us, because as you said, if you are high MMR, and then the season reset comes, and you play agains't higher MMR players, it will be harder for you to go up the ranks, not imposible, but it will take more time.
EDIT:
I think this leaver punishments are just until there is enough people to implement a leaver queue which they talked about. If they did that right now, there would be too few people on it and they would be stuck there forever.

People will QQ of course, but it makes sense otherwise you end up drafting with random heroes.

I don't really like Blizzards ranked formats in their games, tbh. Especially for a teamgame it seems weird to have an individual MMR even if I'm playing with 4 mates.

Agreed. Same happens to me. And I think it's really stupid to make Jaina f2p for the first time ever - and put Nova into thhe f2p rotation that same week. most people probably neve played Jaina before - and nobody will ever like her, if they just get wrecked everytime because there's a Nova in almost every team.
Even Ice Block doesn't really help to not die.
And talking about Nova: I really hate that there won't be any bans. At least one for each team would have been nice (-> 12 heroes required). These double invisibility Lineups are just annoying as fuck.

All of the bitching from Nova players when she was "nerfed into the ground" seems rather funny in retrospect. Aside from the obviously really bad Novas, it seems like she still does pretty damned good job killing heroes. It just goes to show how ridiculous she was pre-nerf.
As for Jaina, there isn't much that you can do other than have really good map awareness, watch for the shimmer, and hope Nova misses her snipe. I think the biggest problem with the match up is that Nova has longer range than you do with most of her kit, which makes it hard for you to engage if you see her.
And yes, I agree that making Nova free during free Jaina week is just cruel. Jaina is already a hard hero to play, in part because she's underpowered. No reason to amp up the difficulty.

There was another mode announced at Blizzcon that was for whole teams. The mode released at the start of beta is more akin to soloQ in league of legends (minus the solo requirement).
If you can set your water elemental onto Nova and get a couple spells off you'll probably be able to kill the Nova after you die. Nova doesn't have a movement skill until bolt so there is no escape.

whats the reason behind not counting free heroes into the "you need 10 heroes for tadder" prerequisition? all that should matter is that you have 10 heroes available right? or what am i missing

This isn't any better than having Muradin Raynor and Malfurion every game because people had to buy all the 2k heroes to play the mode honestly.

Well the only reason why I accept the business model is the weekly rotation... if that ends up being limited to quick matches I feel really negative about it. I can easily afford 10 heroes with gold, but I've been playing for 3 months... I wonder how can they compete with estabilished games of the same genre (sort of) with a much more expensive model. Doesn't make much sense to me.

I just played 3 games in a row on haunted mines with incredibly shitty teams. That's the kind of streak that makes me hate MOBAs.
