Why go for the throne in the first place when you had a 2 level lead... The casters made lvl 10 and 20 skills sound like a big deal(like ults in League and Dota?), and yet, when Liquid hit both plateaus well ahead of C9, they didn't try to force fights in a position of strength. Is that because this TL team is bad, or because the abilities aren't actually that big of a deal? Like, why not rush the throne to force C9 to tp back or whatever, the fight the 5v5 with your awesome lvl 20 "Storm" abilities vs their lvl 18 nothings... and then kill the throne when you win? Edit: My entire feeling watching this game is that it's designed to maintain team parity as much as possible. TL dominated objectives for the first 15 minutes of the game, dominated kills, had multiple level advantage, and yet they were marginally ahead, maybe even behind(I don't know which buildings are worth more, but C9 had TL down more "forts" on the UI) at that point, and apparently the threat of Abathur late means you get desperate?

Maybe because the game is still i Alpha and not a lot of people can play it? That's part of it. The other part is that hearthstone was pretty new, and hots has been in this same stage of development since like april or so.

Heroes didn't have those constant popular streamers. So almost no general interest ... plus there was some big other stuff going on alongside it. Blizzard should really thank Trump and Kripp for streaming Hearthstone in the Beta.

Game 2 looked like they were lost. While Abathur is fine on mines I'm not super sold on using it in conjunction without and ADC. Really feel like all teams aside for Glorious are underestimating Kerrigan picks on that map, would have been interesting to see her over Abathur. While they didn't do well in game (think they need to move Caffeine off Arthas) they just got so out drafted I don't know what they really could have done. EG/Fnatic went how I imagined. Slow painful death for Fnatic, RIP. Cool games today however, really liked EG's Abathur play, feel like he's the #1 hero in the game right now and teams will start fp/ban'ing him soon.

Based on today's steams on Twitch. Hearthstone: ~120K viewers at any one time. SC2: ~50K, WoW: ~30K, HotS: ~10K. It's quite ridiculous, and unfortunate, that Hearthstone is so popular.

if anything i think fans and blizzard will just have to be content with this game being a niche instead of thinking it'll compete in viewership with the other games. i don't think it ever will but that's okay.

Competitive Hearthstone has been very popular and there are some consistent streamers that keep the Twitch channel high in viewer count. It's waaaaaay more advanced as an esport than HotS right now.
