So yes, there are probably strategies out there... but they are all variations on core ones (get seeds, get coins, get skulls, etc). There would be literally dozens for each map and I'm not sure reading anything would help. It's one of those things you just have to get a feel for and adapt to on the spot.

I'm searching around the web but can't seem to find any real discussion, just basic guides on how each map plays. Coming from supporting in dota 2, I'm liking the map variety and I think the strategies can be pretty in depth given the large amount of objectives to play for. I played a game with a 3 or 4 stack on haunted mines and their strategy was to give mines to the enemy team. We stayed on the map and pushed outer walls by the time they cleared mines. With map control, we were able to clear the next 2-3 mines and won. Not sure if valid strat or generally outplaying them afterwards... Mines is actually pretty figured out as far as strategy goes. IIRC its standard to grab the ogres at 1:20, then head into the mines and grab the two big camps, whoever gets the big camps usually comes out ahead in skulls. After those, head to knights. Don't take abathur on that map because your team will be unhappy if you do.

You can actually punt on skulls and get 1-2 pick offs if they split mines and just defend the golem while they respawn. After that, you hit 10, Abathur does something in teamfights and you can win.

This is further complicated by having different hero setups. I mean, there are some general strategies for each map... but you have to adapt each to fit your team comp. Yeah, the more I play and think about it, it's starting to feel more like a SC2 match, where the first few minutes essentially plays out like a build order. Afterwards, you just sorta adapt to whatever happens. As with Dota/LoL, this game is hard to get all 5 to follow a strategic mindset, but smaller maps make it easier for people to group up and do something together. Skipping tributes and skipping mines have been strong strategies in the past. Objectives aren't always the top priority so be observant and start trying to make the right judgment calls yourself. Keeping lanes pushed, killing enemy heroes, capturing mercs and destroying forts and keeps can be more important. Yeah, I've been testing out heroes with different talents to see how it helps with objectives. The hero killing ones are obvious, but so far nothing really stood out as a good build yet. I've been experimenting with mixing push talents in all heroes, but generally speaking the early game is a hit or miss in terms of pushing creeps into their towers to burn ammo... It's sorta weird that you lock into a hero before choosing the map...

Cause i havent seen any giveaways from community sites or stuff like that... Be TL staff, get your account flagged after signing up for the technical alpha or get invited through one of the promotions. One of the upcoming promotions will allow a ton of alpha players (they say thousands, and i've only seen like 5k online at a time, so a large percentage of them) to get their entire battle.net friends list flagged for access

People say the email is delayed from the actual invite, pops up on your b.net launcher before that. Email time, i'm not in the habit of checking battle.net every 8 hours to say if it popped up before that time ![]() I did notice it there before i saw the email (which i check every few days at least) which is surprising
