(Super Lazy Mode) Don't think of it as a traditional moba at all. it's nothing like dota and will never compete with dota for the same player base. The games are fundamentally too different to try and compare.I think the best way to think of HOTS games are as standalone WoW battlegrounds. The games are fast, team oriented, map objective based death matches. I don't personally think the game is that good but it's much better when you approach it from a different direction than you would Dota or LoL.

(Super Lazy Mode) SO much more objective-based and team oriented. Like, DotA2 is the prime example of a game where you can really just not GAF about your team and just get fed and win. LoL has a little bit less of that, and in HotS there are full teamfights at what would be early, early laning phase due to good objective design. The design of team-fighting objectives early (and all game long) makes for much more dynamic play, but you can't just be good at stutterstepping and lasthitting and ride that to victory (which is essentially what I do in DotA2 soloqueue).

It's depressing that I see activity in this thread and think: oh, what happened, did they release Thrall or a new map? and instead it's serejai being unable to be a member of a team. This was the exact circumstance that led to the original QQ thread (Shikyo).

It feels like LoL and Dota to me but it feels like a version where you jump straight into the late game. There's no real "laning phase" where 1 or 2 people are in a lane and not trying to push it.

In fact, all Dota 2 and LoL players should try HotS so that they can see how bad those games are. User was warned for this post

![]() The whole talent thing seems to be a new take, you just get all your abilities which level up with you, and you choose only one talent, or do you get all eventually? (Probably some wiki where I could have found this myself, right?)
