Bah, Blizz should just release this expansion with 300 vanilla cards without any text whatsoever.
Cthun cards are so boring is a pretty big complaint
I think Trump has the right idea. It's why Cthun is free. It's meant to entice newer players to play combo decks. Generally those decks are more expensive. So therefore C'thun is meant to serve as a gateway for players to purchase packs to make combo decks. Its like the weed of wizardpoker.

wouldn't it only be lethal if the opponent has less than 15 health? Or does tree of life actually work as a heal for the amount of maximum health (and not current missing health) a character has?

If you can't just build faceroll C'thun decks where you just stall for eternity then win, I'm fine with it. Boring? Probably, but it's fine until it's a one off. If every god card worked this way, then we'd have a serious problem.
I can't help but think that a bad rng card is still more enjoyable than a never to be used joust or inspire one. You play that mage card, you fireball your face, you laugh it off, you probably weren't even serious about it to begin with. While on the other hand, you sweat to make a deck where you can make inspire and/or joust viable, and more often than not, you come out short, and even when you succeed, it's not that satisfying.

Beside it would kill mal'ganis
It works as a full heal/kill, it doesn't factor remaining health like Molten Giant. So yeah, who cares if Mal'Ganis dies, you win in this level 4 hypothetical scenario.

It kills no matter how much health. Malganis dies but you live. Clearly you don't watch enough trolden.

Would it kill through over 30 armor? just curious.

I believe so but not sure
Tree of life only deals 30 "damage", so as long as you have more than 30 health in armor + health you should live.

What if spellslinger have given you a warlock spell before. And what if you were counting on this one spell to give lethal BM and your were playing the servant to BM. Then what? Then a new Trollden video is born.
Honestly the cards looks really bad. And I really hope this is the case cause I am really tired of losing to RNG in that game.
I do not mind losing to an opponent outplaying me or having a better deck but losing to plain old stupid RNG is just killing all my enjoyment of the game. So hopefully Yogg'Sarron is unplayable et this card is unplayable. And there is no worse offender in the set. The set looks great otherwise and the standard format is really promising so hope is still high.

Won't he summon two minions, if he fetches out Brann?
He would, but with so many late game monster cards coming out, I'm not sure if that's what you'd like to do on turn 9. Unless you have crazy good rng, because 2 Muklas or Arcane Golems are pretty neat.
(edit: "so many" might be stretching it, but I still don't find this play powerful enough in constructed)
Yeah but that's RNG I can deal with the difference in outcome between a 2/2 and a 4/7 is p[pretty large but it goes it the same direction. While I'd rather not have this type of RNG where a card power level is inconsistent, I don't mind it too much: Crackle, Implosion, Lightning storm, Ragnaraos... all have the issue and they are fine cards. Sure I'd rather their effect be static or based on the board state but that's ok.
No, what really tilt me is losing a game I was in good way to win or was outsmarting my opponent because one of my own cards suddenly decided to Troll me. I lost 9 games to Doomsayer coming out form Piloted Shredder (yes I kept a count of it) and while 9 games in 1 year and a half is not much each of those had me absolutely disgusted with the game for some time.
As long as Yogg-Saron is not competitive I am ok with it. My opponent will play it they will win some/ they will lose some good for them. But I really really hope I never have to play that stupid card because it is the best card in the game like I had to play the stupid Shredder.
To me most offending RNG is the order of cards drawn.
I'm quite surprised of people complaining aboiut cards with RNG effects when this is a card game where you draw a random card from your deck. For example lately I played much handlock and the amount of times my opponent had owl to silence my drake at turn 3/4 or Big Game Hunrer to deal with T4 Mountain Giant is absurd. Handlock is 3rd/4th warlock archetype played so I doubt people are mulliganing for BGH.
Or like when reno decks have it ready for turn 6 and when I play it, it's the last card in my deck. That kind of RNG is the one I find more disgusting. Cards with rng effects... are affected by player choice at least. One decides when to play it and can guess the possible outcomes. But at least is a player decision. On the other hand drawing a specific key card at the right moment is completely random.
