Then with Ethereal Conjurer, Forgotten Torch and Jeweled Scarab, I think Mage will be a great class for creating BS Yogg plays. Don't forget Cabalist's Tomb

Spells aren't considered cast if they come from Yogg's battle cry.
Relevant if the enemy has troggs / counterspell or you have a mana wyrm out.
Not sure how they interact with spell damage though, but I assume the normal way. 10 spells? Is 10 the cap? This card is way interesting at least and im happy with it.

But that looks like an autocorrect problem anyway.

A problem I'm having with theorycrafting lately is that I keep forgetting you can combine Old Gods cards with other Old Gods cards
Although I did pose the Thing from Below + Master of Evolution combo, which is pretty legit.

This made me laugh and because Yogg has already twisted my brain, I imagine the games where Yogg plays Map to the Golden Monkey for you.

Not that I'm aware of, I was responding to someone asking what happens when you play 10 spells, Brann and then Yogg.

Also I think I found the most important thing: Spreading Madness marks the return of ALL in ALL CAPS. I was wondering why they stopped doing that, I thought it was a fun touch, like Power Overwhelming and its horrible death clause.

Is it bad I can't think of a card to use this with?
|
I can't think of one either a lot of other classes this would be insane but warlock doesn't have a lot of great spells for you to cheat out since the ones you would want to either have other costs(Dark Bargain), kill your own stuff(Twisting Nether/Doom), or are otherwise lackluster.
|
Hopefully there are some great spells come out for warlock.

Yeah, most of the spells are pretty bad. Siphon Soul or Shadowflame combing with it is good though.
|
Looking through Warlock spells, the only pre-Whispers one that's really worth cheating out is Siphon Soul. All the others are like... why bother.
Maybe there's a secret super combo waiting to happen with Renounce?
|
Can you play this with Brann, and pay 12 life to roll out Siphon Soul?
|
Seriously, Cho'Gall is way way way too good guys, like, every warlock should craft and play him, totally nothing to do with me playing 2 Thoughtsteal
|
Maybe if it was next card instead of next spell, the card would impress me, but I have a hard time seeing it get played. Warlock will need to get some really good spells.
|
Yeah, I agree. Next card, and it becomes a potentially 6-mana Old God, permitting all kinds of tomfoolery. But as a spell, there are way too few cards it can actually use. As-is, it's at best a tempo card that lets you get a War Golem plus one "free" effect.
I mean, it's obviously cheating to compare it to Dr. Boom, but Cho takes much more setup to be good, tends towards giving much less card advantage, and will almost certainly be easier to remove. If it finds its way into Handlock, it'll either be on the merits of some really incredible spells we haven't yet seen or because there's nothing else for 7 mana in the game.
|
You know what would have been cool instead, is if it changed your hero power to (2) - the next spell you cast this turn costs life instead of mana. Would have made him much more of a build-around kind of card. Maybe that's too much self-damage though.
