Like, obviously it's a neat board clear plus card advantage deal, but Warlock was never struggling for card draw and it lacks the kind of massive turnarounds that you get from the much more traditional Molten+Molten+Shadowflame+I still have six mana to work with plays. If you're playing slow enough that a bilateral board clear is going to favor you, then it stands to reason that you're gonna have a big enough hand that you'll be at serious risk of overdrawing, yes? It has all the attitude of a restock card, but it's restock for control, which never really needs restock. Maybe there's some deck that can run it, but I'm struggling to see how you'd play it over Twisting Nether, even. At best it could see some stupid fringe usage in zoo for a full reload late late game but why would you do that....

Are all of these cards excluded from arena, or only C'thun and its synergy cards?

It would be a deck that: 1. Throws down tons of cheap cards early, but expects to lose board control almost exactly on turn 10 and a couple turns thereafter. 2. Is willing to draw the entire deck fast and burn most of the cards from it. 3. Has a win condition that only works once the deck's basically gone and is all but guaranteed to work. I guess some kind of highly specific Thaurissan combo might fit the bill?

Rag, Sylvanas, Sunwalker, Malygos (potentially for spell damage priest?), Cairne, Emporer, (if played on turn 8) Confessor Paletress, Anubisath Sentinel?, Blood Mage Thalnos, Auchenai Soulpriest + 2nd Velen?

Could see Volazj combo'd with: Rag, Sylvanas, Sunwalker, Malygos (potentially for spell damage priest?), Cairne, Emporer, (if played on turn 8) Confessor Paletress, Anubisath Sentinel?, Blood Mage Thalnos, Auchenai Soulpriest + 2nd Velen? But as others have pointed it out, he only works when you can have these on the board for a whole turn, which basically means you are already winning. Paletress is actually a better*, more flexible, albeit a bit random legendary than Volzaj, because at least you can use her effect in the same turn she's played, and if she survives a turn, then it's almost surely GG. With Vol'Jin getting the boot from standard, priest will only have these fun, but really gimmicky legendaries, which can't really fit any meta. It's okay though, they have plenty of cards to steal other class legendaries. *Unless Blizz releases a bunch of cheap cards with great deathrattles.

The other two old gods you probably haven't seen (Technically no one has seen Ysha'arj because he was murdered by the titans and split into 7 Shas but we've killed all the shas in WoW) - ![]() ![]()

I don't know that the intention is for Herald Volazj to combined with the above cards. Too situational and difficult to achieve most times, I would expect. It may be, however, the first step towards a solid tempo rather than combo orientated priest (dragon priest aside). If there are two minions on board, the card becomes a 6 for 7/7 worth of stats, in addition to any potential upside associated with those cards. Divine shield and taunt effects are still very useful, even if they may not be as strong as the deathrattle's have proven to be. I'm personally intrigued.
