Playing a lot more than like ever because of bye-bye-Boom I made it to Rank 5 for the first time in I guess 18 or so months. Was ~9 when standard hit and played Beast Hunter, Malyrogue and Divine Aggro Pala since.
General thoughts: - Twin Emperor is crazy good. They can soak so much damage if you're missing buffs/silence/saps to get rid of them. I think the card would be better if it would trigger at 12/13 attack. - Druid is really strong but many people seem to not play carddraw which makes them suffer. Only this evening I saw the first few nourishes. - I dislike Zoo. - Haven't seen a real Control deck at all I think which is a pity because those are my favourite decks to play myself. From what I heard N'Zoth Pala is the closest to what I like but I would need to craft 2-4 legendarys for that which would use all my dust.
Beast Hunter + Show Spoiler +Played it right when standard hit. Often curves out pretty well but most minions on their own trade badly against C'thun stuff. Reliant on Houndmaster in my experience. Call of the wild and Huhuran are great additions but I didn't feel that the deck will have a big impact in the near future.
Malyrogue + Show Spoiler +I was a bit skeptical but I love the new additions. - As Drazerk mentioned Journey below provides us with great minions. Huckster, Xaril or Pillager are all great. - Huckster. I love it. Effect often helped me but the body itself is really useful. Huckster + Dagger trades with Trogg, Huckster + Backstab trades with Totem Golem, Huckster + Shadow Strike trades with Flamey Faceless. Great stuff. - Shadow Strike. 5 dmg without the need to combo has been huge for me. With the meta being as slow as it is right now I think 2 are a great choice. - Xaril. Not the best body but the poisons help so much that he's a keeper. - Finley. Without poison and flurry I'm not a fan of the hero power. Really good deck at the moment but part of it is the lack of flooding decks. I don't have Thalnos and don't play fan which means less carddraw and autoloss against flood but slower decks are great matchups.
Aggro Pala + Show Spoiler +I hate playing Aggro. I try it and get mad after playing 2 games in which my opponents had easy board clears and a big taunt to kick me out of the game turn 6. But this deck is really cool. Between buffs, Keeper of Uldaman and Aldor it can contest the board when it goes late but what I really enjoy about it are the synergies. You basically play mediocre minions but the synergies within the deck make them work. Fantastic concept.

C'Thun Druid or N'Zoth Pala ???
Hmmmmm.....

N'zoth is much sexier. Personally I'd rather force my opponent to concede in the face of the over whelming board control of N'zoth than kill them outright with C'thun.

If you Entomb your opponent's C'thun, your opponent's cards continue to buff that C'thun. Your cards do not.
So, if you survive C'thun and Entomb it, you've won the game. Your opponent's cards become helpful to you, making nearly everything he plays bad for him.
I think this was fixed. Playing N'zoth Priest, entombed the opposing C'thun, it was still a 6/6 when I drew it.
Also, from the same game: Getting a second N'zoth from Golden Monkey when playing a N'zoth deck is pretty damned good.

So my C'thun and shaman decks are set, but otherwise what should I invest in?? N'zoth seems crazy strong, but is he gonna end up too slow and auto countered by aggro decks? Also if I craft him do I NEED to craft Cairne too? Seems like a waste to spend so much on him with all the other new stuff around... And then what about the new Rag, he seems really good but could just end up being too slow as well. Fandral seems ridiculous so I'll probably end up crafting him, but I'm apprehensive when I already have druid viability with C'thun. The only other legendaries I think are worth it are the hunter and rogue ones, but again I can't figure out how necessary they are. Dog seemed to be having a really good time with Xaril, but he's a rogue specialist and I've barely ever played it in constructed. I don't think I'd wanna spend so many resources on it unless it was unquestionably a top-tier deck. Ugh I need someone with more patience and analysis than I have to figure this out
Dont really need Cairne. He is nice of course but can be replaced I guess without losing much strength. For Paladin I really think you need the new Rag and even more important Forbidden Healing. I guess you have Tirion and Sylvanas ? Still a very expensive deck, but really fun to play and seems strong af.
N'Zoth can be played in Priest with Corrupted Healbot, Museum Curator Synergy as well and I also faced some Hunter and Rogue versions.
Safest choice is of course to wait 2-3 weeks and craft refined lists.

How does that even happen?

Hmmmmm..... They're both really strong, as they have a decent face shaman matchup but can still beat control decks. C'Thun Druid is the safe pick, easier to play and build, but N'zoth Paladin is one of the sexiest deck out there. It's almost as strong as N'Rogue, except it actually has healing and board clears.
That said, Face Shaman might be the strongest deck out there anyway. Only a ramped up Druid opening or a real control deck can hold it. Very fast Zoos can do it was well, but everything else crumbles pretty fast.

I got a golden tentacles for arms. i'm very conflicted on whether i should dust it or put it in decks for the shock value
On control decks: the only really successful control decks i've seen are the new control paladin and control priest with just entombs. control priest is kind of hard to win with against some of the old gods decks, but otherwise i feel the deck is actually very strong now because there are way fewer sticky minions and starts are way less snowbally now. the new 5 drop adds some very good stability and flexibility to the deck and increases the consistency.
As for cairne in the deathrattle decks: obviously it's a good card but imo it's not necessarily needed. especially for the control paladin build. i've seen people playing justicar in these decks and it has been working out pretty well. you can stall and control the game for extremely long periods of time thanks to double tirion double sylvanas double equality and a million heals. n'zoth often ends up being a win condition on its own but justicar hero power on paladin is actually insanely strong in longer games - other control decks will really struggle to deal with it after a while

Yeah, I already have Tirion and Sylvanas as well as one Forbidden Healing, just not sure how all in I should be on that one class. Back before standard whenever a Cairne-like deathrattle was called for I could always just use Sky Golem, but now that that's out there's nothing to replace Cairne so nicely. Hadn't thought about the museum curator synergy though, that might be interesting and less expensive to work with.
If only I had the dust for one more legendary without having to mass disenchant, ignoring Cairne I'd certainly go for N'zoth, Xaril, Fandral and new Rag then... Unless I get super lucky I'll probably just wait those few weeks to see.

Still working on my Reno N'Zoth Rogue, it's been working pretty well against the current battery of decks, fixes Rogue's problem of having 0 healing, and of course floods the board with his N'Zoth'ness. It also happens to make Anub'arak awesome, which makes me so happy, that's still my favorite card from TGT. You throw down Anub'arak a few times, then you play N'Zoth and get a board full of Anub'araks, it's so great.

as if we needed more proof that Yogg is the greatest card in existence.

Am I the only one who thinks Evolve should be something like "costs 1 mana for each minion you have on the board" or sth? smh Blizz
Also I want to craft 3 legendaries (when I get enough dust anyway, I'm thinking about dusting Shifter Zerus): Harrison, Black Knight and Cairne, which should I go for first?
