Mages can win games with average or subpar creatures by virtue of their hero power and their amazing spells. Your creature quality is above average for the most part; some of your creature picks I'd disagree with on principle, but I otherwise don't know what you had to choose from during your deck creation. The only creatures in the deck I winced at were Young Priestess, Ancient Mage, and Novice Engineer.

Mage draft, highlights including; Alexstrasza x1 Flamestrike x3 Water Elemental x3 Azure Drake x2 Interestingly, I didn't draft a single Fireball or Frostbolt, which I thought was gonna suck but I've not really missed them! Saving final boss for later, at least I have two attempts :D

I was more talking about he lack of AoE and taunts, you're right though looking back I did have a lot of good creatures. I guess I was surprised that it ran so well without. Also the priestess was with a bloodsail corsair and secretkeeper, the mage with coldlight seer and pintsize and the novice was with a priestess of elune and grimscale oracle.

went 12-1 with shaman forgot to save the deck but it had 3 fire elementals which were game winners also bloodlust won me several games, just watch out that you have enough totems or minions on board then bloodlust and gg ![]() packs were crap but who cares 12 wins yay :D

But I will thank my Archmage and double Blessing of Kings. They helped me trade well enough to get me that far. Humility on a Boulderfist Ogre is fairly ineffective if I can follow it up with two consecutive Blessing of Kings.

Decklist (dunno how to resize it, just right click and show image): + Show Spoiler + ![]() All games I gained a heavy tempo lead early and kept it going through the mid game, usually winning by turn 6-8. Most valuable card was definitely the deadly poisons. Final boss was a warrior(!)

Pretty shitty rewards, so shitty I almost posted it in the QQ thread instead, fuck. http://imgur.com/qfw9srg

The deck was so "meh" (no flamestrikes, polymorphs) that I didn't bother taking a screenshot of the decklist. I thought you could take a screenshot at 12 wins but it didn't show the decklist which was kind of sad. I had 3 fireballs and 2 mana wyrms though, and coldlight oracle surprisingly won me a lot of games because I was able to topdeck that last fireball needed to finish the opponent. :O Some interesting things was that at 9-1 I faced a paladin with an insane deck (sylvanas, truesilvers, concecrates all over the place), but at 9-2 I faced him again right after... but managed to beat him by flooding his hand with the coldlight and knowing he had sylvanas and blood knight allowed me to play around it, which was pretty cool. I think I won because he had so many choices of what to play that he didn't know what to do. ![]() Anyway, rewards were pretty good! 400 gold, 2 packs: http://imgur.com/LnRCjQm One was tinkmaster: http://imgur.com/T8eAMm8 The other pack: http://imgur.com/L3Hv5hq Also got to play against Hafu right before! I was 7-0 on an insane paladin draft and she was 7-2 on a Druid. On turn 2 she made this play: http://imgur.com/vHO1do9 where she silenced my recruit instead of the ancient watcher which pretty much lost her the game I think... I didn't think it was actually her until someone I knew told me I was on stream. I guess everyone gets distracted and makes mistakes. :3 That deck went 10-3, pretty happy. Then I went 1-3 right after. Guess that's just how the arena is. Lol. Got another 12-3 right after that with a sick paladin draft. ![]()

Drafted this abomination of a deck and was ready to go 0-3: ![]() Through sheer luck of the draw I went 5-0... then 0-3. I had really good starting hands the 1st 5 games and ended games very early (as you can see my deck had barely any late game), then not-so-great starting hands the next 3 games and got crushed. I guess 5-3 isn't too bad for my first attempt... But I pretty much had no idea what I was doing. Got 60 gold, 50 dust, and an expert pack with nothing worthwhile in it. I guess it'll be a while before I attempt another arena run ![]()

![]() ...I MUST CHOOSE! (lol) ..I'm going to go with nat pagle, just because of the lols it will invoke if I ever get to play both at once. And it's early so I might be able to draft an inner fire or two and have some sick 4/4 nat pagle plays :D
