If you thoughtsteal a fatigued player you will get nothing. On February 02 2014 20:11 DrunkenJedi wrote: What is 3-Star-Master Rank? From 25 to 1 there is no such rank! Thx for quick answers ![]() This rank is obsolete; it was the highest rank you could achieve under the old system.

The only thing that matters for matchmaking is your number of wins. Sometimes, if the server doesn't find opponents in a timely manner, it will match you with people with more/less wins. I guess this happens more frequently the higher you go, since statistically the average person will get ~3 wins. This also means obviously that the higher you go, the more OP opponents/drafts you face. I personally find that things get significantly harder from the 5 win mark.

With the Hunter, is each of the three possibilities evenly weighed to 1/3? I'm pretty sure the odds are distributed evenly on all possibilities. same for all random selections (Ysera's dream cards, Deadly Shot's target, etc...)

Is there a documented advantage to going first or second? It generally feels so much better to go second and have the ring, but maybe that's just a feeling thing. Is rogue bad for arena? I just went 1-3 and 0-3, but maybe (probably) I just don't understand what I'm supposed to be doing. Playing priest feels so much easier (ex:abusing your card-drawing stuff and trading into a card and later board advantage).

Playing priest feels so much easier (ex:abusing your card-drawing stuff and trading into a card and later board advantage). There is a documented advantage (~+4% winrate) in going first, even though it might seem like The Coin and an extra card feels better. This is because you essentially reach each mana threshhold first (except the turn the opponent plays The Coin), so you have the initiative. It's especially important for tempo decks. Rogue isn't bad for arena, but is very dependent on getting good class cards like Backstab and Eviscerate. It's not the top arena class but it usually has a quite consistent winrate.

According to Blizzard statistics (slightly outdated), going first has a bigger advantage overalI. However, it's actually only +0.7% for going first at high level games. There was a couple of class exceptions where going second was favored (ex. rogue).

Maybe because shaman has good spell power so often times it can do 2+ damage and silence? Or maybe the higher you get on the ladder the more silence targets you'll see (Cairne, etc.)?
