They want to forfiet after wining 100-0... Pathetic. People think they're wrong for playing the game and winning 100-0... Pathetic. The Coach got fired for his team winning... Pathetic I know a lot of people disagree with the fact that I don't think i team should ever let up regardless if it's 535 to 0.... In my personal opinion it's poor sportmanship to "go easy" or "let up"... If you can't lose don't play. It doesn't fucking matter if you lose by a million points or one tenth of a point, you still fucking lose, don't cry over the detail just fucking improve. It's a disgrace to the game and any competitive nature to "let up" just because someone might get embarressed or sad or whatever. Don't play if you can't take that risk. Now sure, theres prolly a great argument for why the fuck this game took place in the first place, unless it's for some fundraiser or something? If it was indeed a COMPETITION then there is no excuse for any of this and those who are fragile shouldn't play so GTFO and STFU. Now if it's "special" girls versus normal "girls"..... What's the point to begin with? Fire the game organizer not the coach? This is like telling me that I shouldn't play poker against people who don't know how to play well? Oh I should give the money I won at the end back? Meh maybe I just don't have any concern or respect for anything along the lines of getting "embarressed" or "feeling sorry" and ect over something as simple and useless as a basic competition. It always annoys me when sports fan takl about a team being disrespectful for still participating in the game properly even when they are up far enough. F dat 100-0 every time no mercy lmao my 2cents ![]()

When I played volleyball for my high school, we had to take it easy on a specific school who barely got their volleyball team started. A win is a win so there's no need to bring the stats of our starters up, or stomp the opposing team by a HUGE margin. Sports is about competition but in high school sports, its also about having fun and showing some respect (sportsmanship). Wouldn't it be more respect to bring your A game, making them feel that they are a challenging team? By sending a B team out you essentially are saying, "You won't even beat our bench warmers, why run our starters?" I'm not one who is like, oh were winning by 50, lets throw our weak players out there to let them even it up. There are times you sub out people to prevent injury/let newer players show their game, but i find it completely disrespectful to not bring your A team every time (with limited exceptions, exhibition matches normally) because you essentially are saying that the other team isn't worth your time. Its kind of sad that people fired the coach over it for doing his job. You could call if poor form to not let off, but i would say that from part of the article that alot of people were cheering still at the game, and most of the losers were stating they didn't really worry about it, i don't see why everyone is so into having the coach fired =/. I mean a good example is in american football, when the cardinals played the patriots in week 16, NE was up like, 40+-0 at one point, and everyone was complaining how the cardinals didn't even try (even though they were in the playoff's). They lost alot of respect for not bring their A team to the field, so i don't see why we should disrespect said team/coach for playing their best =/.

Who cares though? Well read this article. article. They want to forfeit their win because they feel bad for the other team. T.T Am I the only one that thinks this is stupid? Their is even a parent who believe they should have backed off. Fuck you, your daughter sucks and that's it. ![]() The academy boasts of its small class sizes and specializes in teaching students struggling with "learning differences," such as short attention spans or dyslexia. These are disadvantaged kids who already feel like life sucks... you want to tell them they suck to their face? Now tell me... what's the difference between TELLING someone they suck and smashing them 100-0 in a basketball game? Not much. The kids on the opposing team should have realised what the situation was and appropriately adjusted the tone of the game to make it more relaxed. It's not like they were going to lose. It's like playing a bunch of 10 y.o. in rugby and tackling them hard every time they get the ball. There's no need for it....

I think this is just again the stupid dogma of political correctnes, letting the weaker gain points or even win which is just wrong. It fucks up the reality and I don't see any justification for it at all. Same goes for quotas and shit like that. (Which are justified IF there is any disadvantage one on side, which you can't overcome by !effort and skill!, and I can't see any disadvantages on the "special girls" team just the one with being the lesser players)

See, that's where this whole problem is coming from. Just because they have learning disabilities(which you don't even know the specifics or severity of), you insist on treating them like 10 year olds who need to have their opponents condescend to let them score.

For one player to surpass another player is not simply about records vs each other but overall career. Even if I beat Boxer 100 times now I'm not actually winning him. That is my opinion. I will read the rest of this tommorrow while I am at work.

I've been in situations like this and find it's good to get the kids doing some plays they've been practicing at training and have been looking to introduce into a game, but some people may even find that offensive if you're turning the game into a training drill. They should really just move on a tell the team to lower the intensity next time.

If I play Mondragon 1v1, should he "tone it down" Just because I'm not anywhere near his level of play? Hell no, he should rape my face like any other advanced player would. I would be ultra-pissed If I were the coach and got fired over this. Pissed enough to do legal research and file any possible lawsuits against my employers. Now, maybe if he were dancing around the court rubbing it in the other teams face, then that's more understandable as that's very unsportsman like. But winning 100-0 is nothing to feel sorry/ashamed about.
