I've always been very big into FPS and that is where you can really see the PC / console war at it's hottest. It's pretty easy to tell that console loses sorely in that regard but every console player is quick to defend it and are usually in denial about their precious analog stick, when the sad truth is they can't even do a simple thing like turning 180o quickly. As for making RTS work on a console, it'd require some drastically new thinking to be sure. Drag-and-click would certainly have to be abandoned. That or consoles would just have to finally adopt the mouse/keyboard. PS3 accepts PC mouse/keyboard plug'n'play so that's certainly a step in the right direction.

Virtually all FPS games on the console have auto-aim since Goldeneye for the N64. Developers know you can't be as quick or as accurate with a controller, so they provide a crutch. The only game I've seen in recent times that doesn't have auto-aim on the console is Left4Dead. GoW2, Halo3, Unreal Tournament III -- they all make use of that feature in some way. Console gaming is about casual play. It will never compete with the -- for lack of a better word -- "hardcoreness" of PC gaming.

But then you'd need a chair and a table to use them... and you need to place the TV on the table to see shit... nintendo wii -cough- how? wiimote = mouse and wii has built in support for USB keyboards. but that still won't help in play. I guess if you wanted to play SC you would have to do it all by mouse(or wiimote). keyboard is just used for hotkeys

![]() The main problem I have with consoles are how the joysticks have so much of a learning curve involved, the wiimote is the closest thing to a mouse but it's annoying as @#$! because you have to have the sensitivity PERFECT for you and if it gets changed you're screwed. Plus pointing a remote at the screen and moving it around isnt half as intuitive as putting your hand on a mouse. Wiimote requires 3 dimensions of movement in most games, a mouse requires two.
