Why you should go here: Plan your own curriculum, no grad req's other than 180 credits (some must be in science to get a BS) Build your own major ie starcraft without living in someone's attic Individual: build your own course and get credit for it! I met someone this week who did one about polyamoury, he actually went out and had sex with a bunch of people and wrote about it for credit It's as cheep as free! Grad schools love it did i mention NO GRADES! bad things If you can't get your shit together you may end up going here for the rest of your life

UofT sucks -_-) 4) pink (don't yooh want to meet her?) 5) Corinthos! 6) It has the biggest(?) math faculty in the world 7) It has a lot of hot asian girls 8) If you're more into white chicks, we got plenty down the street at Wilfirid Laurier University 9) It's known to have strong math & engineering programs 10) If business is your thing, you can try a Double Degree like me! Math and Business Administration: learn math at U of Waterloo and learn business at Laurier :D

MIT in a nutshell: good reasons: ridiculously smart people significant fraction greek (if you're into that) you're in boston, awesome city for young people great opportunities for undergrad research, work with top tier faculty members (well, at least work in their labs, not so much working with them) bad reasons: NO FUCKING ESPN umm NO FUCKING ESPN what else NO FUCKING ESPN god damnit NO FUCKING ESPN

anyway i got to RIT and it sucks up here. Cons: - Poor diversity - Female population is low. Most of them majors art or bio. - Low asian population. Not to mention asian females.. (I'm asian) - Many weirdos/geeks especially in my major. (CS) - Grade is only A B C.. etc.. no A + -. It's either high or die. - We only have days off only for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The break schedule is totally different from all colleges in US. - Winter is a fucking bitch here. - No shit to do up here (I'm from nyc) Pros - Required Co-op. (land me to co-op for IBM for 6 month. YES!) - Have decent numbers of clubs, activities, intramural (My intramural basketball team is kicking ass) Overall: Don't come.. I will die regretting if I didnt co-op for IBM.

Plus the bandwidth/connection at this place is awesome, so you can actually use ESPN 360 and have it be worthwhile. And the wireless everywhere... but I think a lot of schools have that. More good reasons: Check stats on % admission to grad school med school and the like Check stats on starting salary Bad reasons: Food - dining halls serve 5 meals a week (wtf?)

MIT is catered by the same company that caters for Duke, I believe...Bon Appetit managing company. They actually do a pretty good job, I'd say.

To add to this (I also go to RIT in my last two quarters of BS/MS I cannot wait to be done this place sucks balls) pros -There are several schools not to far from RIT with high female populations (although they are relatively smalls schools) that you seem to get an auto in with once they know you go to RIT manly cause we are in general much smarter than the guys who go to there school...although most RIT students lack social skills so this in is usually wasted lol... -Fairly well known in the northeast -Many professors actually have practical experience. This is actually a huge plus I find as when you go on a co-op you have a much better idea what to expect than from professors who have only academic skills/experience -good gym facilities Cons -If you aren't going to have a car it will be very difficult to go anywhere (fairly awful public transportation) -essentially no school spirt -no football team (although we do have a rather good hockey team) -Everything is made of brick/campus is ugly -no sense of community
