Work hard play hard. But their basketball team is pretty meh. So you probably want to go somewhere else. lol how does their basketball team suck? Hopefully you were just messin around with that statement. My brother went to UMCP so I'm a Terps fan... so yes I was messing around. I go to MIT though. Edit: If anyone wants to hear about why to or not to come here, I'll gladly edit this post with reasons. MIT in a nutshell: good reasons: ridiculously smart people significant fraction greek (if you're into that) you're in boston, awesome city for young people great opportunities for undergrad research, work with top tier faculty members (well, at least work in their labs, not so much working with them) bad reasons: NO FUCKING ESPN umm NO FUCKING ESPN what else NO FUCKING ESPN god damnit NO FUCKING ESPN But MIT pays for ESPN 360, so life isn't completely over. Plus the bandwidth/connection at this place is awesome, so you can actually use ESPN 360 and have it be worthwhile. And the wireless everywhere... but I think a lot of schools have that. More good reasons: Check stats on % admission to grad school med school and the like Check stats on starting salary Bad reasons: Food - dining halls serve 5 meals a week (wtf?)
no MNF? we don't get the majority of baseball casts, or sports center ridiculously brutal

perhaps if you ask the average front-row-student...

UC Irvine//UCI
1. It's part of the UC system, so you know it's good 2. It's not as hard to get into as Berkeley, UCLA, or UCSD. 3. Blizzcon is held near here, so you can go to TL events 4. Free cable your freshman year (it's included as part of your on campus housing) 5. Engineering program is really pretty good, aka top 20 in the nation 6. the weather here is socal weather. If it drops below 60, it's considered freezing. Cons: It's a big UC school- You must be social to get to know people.
Personally, if you can get in, my first choice was Berkeley :'(

I suppose if they collied with each other they would explode.

6) Like Asian girls? We have a ridiculous amount of attractive asian girls (other girls not so much). However, most of them are dragon ladies and super super competitive premeds. So if you're going premed, watch out!
I thought it's the place where the squirrels are cuter than girls?

only the white girls
asian girls are pretty nice, but its pretty hard to find places without any attractive asian girls.
like i said though most of them are cutthroat, i'm avoiding them for this reason

I was planning on attending but then they were a big bitch to international students so I decided not to go
Hmm, why go to St. John's, good question.
1. It's in a decent neighborhood. 2. All the facilities are being refurnished, they're completely reworking the athletic building and adding in like three new basketball courts. 3. Parties are somehow connected to NYU's? I'm not a party-goer, don't know, don't care. 4. Teachers are really laid back. 5. Workload is never too much unless you're in the pharmacy program. 6. Apparently our school is good at sports? ROFL I don't even know
Why you should never ever go to SJU.
1. If you live nearby and have bitchy parents, don't go. Also applies to every other college. 2. You basically fuck yourself unless you take the doctor of pharmacy program, since everything else is "meh" and pharmacy is the only half-decent thing there. 3. Girls are ... . You come across a lot of international students that are but overall is very, very

The problem with a lot of Asian girls is that there is a very high probability of a lot of ugly ones.

Anyone here go to Wesleyan? I'm considering applying there early decision, so if anyone has some crazy insight about it that would be really nifty.

7. Very easy to get academic scholarships. 8. City and campus is ridiculously clean and SAFE. (Irvine is one of the safest cities in the world - top 5 or 10? something like that) 9. Can get to any class within 5 minutes. 10. Will occasionally see KOBE BRYANT at the gym. (Plenty of people have taken pictures with him.) 11. Asian heaven. 12. Beaches are close.
Cons: Cops are very anal here: will give you ticket for J-Walking at 3 in the morning. (no joke)

My plug for:
Harvey Mudd College:
Pros:
1. Academics are extremely good (on par with Caltech or MIT), esp. for math, CS and engineering 2. Small school (732 people this year) 3. Part of the 5 Claremont Colleges (5 C's) for a larger community 4. Relatively nerdy, but there is a wide variety of ppl 5. Excellent parties and easily accessible alcohol if you want it 6. Good food, you can eat at any of the 5 C's 7. No graduate students, so undergrad research is involved and you can work with profs 8. Special relativity is widely joked about (first semester freshman year fizx is reletivity + quantum mechanics) and Gamma is now profanity 9. Starcraft is widely appreciated and played on a regular basis. Tasteless is broadcast every week in one of the lecture halls. Day[9] went here and graduated in '08.
I can't think of any big cons right now. Mind I'm still in my first semester so my perspective is limited.
