Dekalb county: 2016 Trump 71-23. As of now: 68-30 Steuben: 2016: 70-26. Currently: 61-37.5 And the results look similar across the other counties as well. Biden clearly has drawn votes from 3rd party (the gain doesn't match the loss) and that could be great news for Biden. | ||

3rd party in Indiana was strong, votes for Johnson in 2016 ranged from 3-6% in some counties. I have yet to see Jojo be able 2% so far. She is hoving around 1.5% in most counties. That could translate to a gain of +4 for Biden from 3rd parties that did not vote for either party in 2016 and moved for Biden in 2020. | ||

All we have are these states and this is the only information I can draw on so far. But when I called 2016 early in the night for Trump last time I was watching, I was noticing some huge gains from Trump in a ton of formerly blue districts. If the trend here is that the vote is shifting back to Biden in a lot of these early counties, chances are the same thing will happen in similarly represented counties in states like Michigan, Wisconsin, even Ohio. Does it mean Biden is going to win in Ohio? Who knows for now, but he's certainly going to make a run at it. | ||

This is why county-by-county analysis is much better. A state can have 10% reporting but a couple counties can be already at 70-80% reporting and give you good accurate stats to compare to last election or go off. | ||
