On topic: On this type of Porche, the cars the engine is in the back and the feul tank is in the front of the car. So if they hit a streetlamp at a a reasonablely high speed in the front, it would start a fire instantly unless the fuel cells were full of flame resistant foam like they have in NASCAR. If race grade fuel cells were installed, the car would look alot less wrecked.

Back on point, yeah that's just another reason when these vehicles crash head on it isn't a pretty sight. I'll stick to driving around in Volvo's. I don't really need a vehicle like that. ;/

It's ironic that computers break down so often, since they're meant to save people time. It is ironic that the robber's car crashed into a police station. Paul Walker, who plays the role of a hoon driver in a movie, has a porsche carrera GT and a multitude of other cars meant to be driven fast, dies in a car accident is not ironic. It would be ironic if the intention of the drive was to promote safe driving, and he had an accident.

Totally agree, ironic can be applied in this case, it's all depend how you look at it. http://www.tmz.com/2013/12/02/paul-walker-roger-rodas-deadly-accident-porsche-malfunction-fluid-leak/ Don't know if you guys seen this, there was theory that the car malfunctioned, with fluid leak mark leading to the crash, and absence of skid marks suggest the car may have traveled in a straight line instead of swerving when you lose controlled.

Why is it so important who's right and who's wrong?

The worst part of this story is that Paul died in front of his young daughter and girlfriend while they were watching the race. I cant even imagine the agony they must be in.

That really sucks though Its more specific than what is implied otherwise every death would be ironic because you almost never expect a celebrity to die. Something outside of expectations isn't ironic, its ironic when its contrary to what is expected. Paul Walker was obviously a car enthusiast. Using a brand of car that is known to be unreliable and being driven at high speeds (presumably) and having a bad accident, isn't outside the realm of expectations, its almost to be expected. Its basically like saying, "its ironic that a drug dealer died by taking his own drugs". That's not ironic. Another example would be if Sean Connery was assassinated by a spy, its still not ironic, its a coincidence. Thanks but its still not ironic. O'Conner just isn't dead... yet. Travis Pastrana has almost died doing crazy stunts lots of times but isn't dead yet, if he somehow died in a motorcycle accident would you say that's ironic? Because its annoying to see a thread about somebody's death flooded with posts of "oh that's so ironic". Its actually kind of disrespectful.

All I posted in this thread is a direct quote from merriamwebster.com. Since that sentence is not altered, it's not possible that I'm "incorrect".

In all of the f&f movies, a lot of people die horribly from crashing in various ways. People who doesnt already race on roads usually goes "yepp. Not doing that".
