I said in my comment when I made my pledge of $25 that if they got Flash to play (and get owned) by Jeremy it'd be the best film ever.

I supported them when I purchased their merchandise. This, however, is a scam. Jarett and Geoff are sell-outs.

I want more of THAT. They don't need $75k for that, let alone $150k. As they have pointed out themselves all they need is a borrowed camera. I'm sad to see that their passion has in fact gone. Jarrett lives in LA (married with a kid), Joel and Geoff elsewhere in Canada/USA, Dave is off in Africa, and they need to be able to pay bills, fly around and meet up, find locations and film. Their goal is to go to S.Korea and film (this also helps sc2 and esports!). In addition, post-production and soundtrack take a lot of time and effort. This is hardly selling out, they are looking to create something for the gaming community which they helped create and popularise. Your attitude is a disgrace.

If you look at the perks on indiegogo they already plan to sell more products after release, which no doubt will earn them plenty of cash. On top of that they are asking for $75k up front, which even under generous estimations greatly exceeds the budget for all previous episodes of the web series put together. It's simply ridiculous to believe they need that money to make what will amount to another episode or two. That's why to me it seems like they just want to cash in on the franchise they have created. I don't blame them for that, but it does make them sell-outs.

I think you're greatly underestimating how much it costs to actually make a movie. Sure you can do it with a burrowed camera with 4 friends on location. But actually doing stuff takes cash. And yes, they probably expect to be able to eat while doing this as well. I got huge nerd chills for this. Can't wait!

If you are going to do multiple locations then you require travel money in addition to the food and board for cast and crew and thats just assuming they use only 2 locations (main area and SK)

Oh, right: Oh my god someone wants to make money with a movie that a lot of people want to see. What sellouts.
