This I read in chinese media but I also found in BBC news. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-19390785.
Taiwan's Environmental Protection Administration minister Stephen Shen makes order in Taiwan that men must sit down to urinate. Local governments will soon post information that men should sit down. This is for public toilet.
The EPA say that standing up pissing is cause of bad hygeine because of of urine spatter. This is cause of bad health and bad smells too. EPA demand to people that they want to follow position of Japan in Sweden in urinate issue. EPA official say that in Japan 30% of men sit to urinate, so they have nice clean fragrant toilet.
But there is many protest to people, who say, it is stupid and difficult becuase they are not trained to sit down to urinate. People also ask if it is really good for hygeine according to study?
Is Does Japan and Sweden man really sit down to urinate? Is theirs toilet cleaner? Should men learn to sit down to urinate therefore?

but... I want to stand
But there aren't as many fun peeing games when you sit
To each his own. I sit quite a bit at home in the mornings/when I'm tired/etc but stand when it's not "my throne".
Enforcement is going to be difficult at best. How do you determine if a person's sitting down or standing in a stall? What consequences does this have for urinals?
I sit down at home, but never elsewhere. I believe sitting down is a bad idea, because people will waste paper wiping the obviously disgusting toilet seats. Might as well just let the toilet be filthy but piss into it from a distance, right?
We don't sit down to urinate in Sweden. O_o
I sit down when i urinate. It's like it says in that article that if guys stands when they urinate it spatters all over. I think most people complain when their going to pubs mostly.
But on public toilets i don't sit down when i urinate i stand up mostly because the toilet seat is full of piss.

Men don't sit to pee in Japan, no idea where they're pulling that idea from. Most bathrooms have urinals, and 2-3 cubicles, which usually have 1 high tech toilet with built in everything, and one hole in the floor. Its not peeing they need to worry about, I can't count the amount of the times I went into the hole in the floor cubicles and found a lump of shit lying at the side because the previous occupant couldn't aim their arse crack.

Sometimes I sit so I don't have to stop reading/watching sc2. But if it's not in my house I aint sittin.
That's just stupid. Encouragement to do that is one thing, but the government honestly has no place in this issue.

I splash my bum when I sit.
I heard you can get toilets for your home where the seat lifts up so you can piss while standing and get none on it.
I forgot to laugh at guys who sit down. Srsly?
some people just cant aim to save their life. i personally sit at home, but stand when not. i dont like the thought of sitting on a seat that others piss on a lot.
Are we assuming like really clean seats? Seems hard to believe otherwise and if it was really clean seats, they should tell us where they found some of those.
I like to use my range attack and stutterstep because I dont want the bacteria to get a surround on my buttcheeks
Is this at home? I sit at home, but I can't sit on a urinal..
I can never get all of the pee out of my bladder when I sit (usually I'm already taking a dump so I decide to just pee).
seriously??? why do i get the feeling im reading from google translate
